uhm— what am i supposed to put here?? not sure. i’m not active very often ya’ know. work at the DX, managing school and shit at home makes bein’ here kinda hard. i saw m’friends and my sister pop up with * their own little accounts, so that’s pretty good to see right?

steve is all angles and muscles. he is rough around the edges and angry to his core. it shows in his appearance and even his clothes. his hair is locked in place with grease. a sharp, strong nose, angular eyebrows, a mouth that’s most often scowling. denim on denim; he’s encased in the tough fabric.
soda is different. he wear his heart on his sleeve, unafraid to laugh or cry or yell. he feels everything so intently. his face is always crinkled in some kind of emotion, whether he’s grinning with excitement or thinking hard, with his eyebrows furrowed. he’s been called soft his whole life, but that doesn’t stop him from feeling. from living. his movie-star features are softer and more delicate, and the flannels he loves are always soft and warm.
soda is labeled a bawl-baby, a pretty boy.
steve can’t remember the last time he cried, and nobody has ever called him pretty.
steve is afraid of hurting soda with all of his sharp edges, afraid of crushing him under the weight of his anger.
but soda is more than his softness, and he knows steve is more than his anger, too.
he is determined to show steve that it’s okay. it’s okay to be tough; the world hasn’t been kind to him, but soda will be. it’s okay to let people in. it’s okay to sit with your emotions— all of them.
soda kisses the bumpy, broken bridge of steve’s nose and calls him pretty and wears his jean jacket and steve can almost feel himself melting.

That’s the problem: it’s a damn wave of competition. Tryin’ to stand out is like tryin’ to be heard in a screaming crowd
( squint. ) sure- and when you’re in a crowd, what’s the first thing you could do to be seen? get up higher. funny lil’ thing; you don’t have to stretch yourself so thin to be picked. it’s more about reaching the sweet spot.
How do ya even know what that “sweet spot” is? It feels like every school I look at’s tryin’ to find people that fit in a certain box, and that just ain’t me
it depends. each place has its’ own version. mine needed more of a pentagon. what does the box look like for the school you wanna go to?

on one hand, it’s not exactly my business. on the other hand, this is a major issue that is harming someone. and hating a dog that hasn’t done much to earn the negativity is pretty weird. so it needs to be solved kinda quick. yeah, i can try to lend one.

uptight is a bit of an understatement. the short few minutes of passing him by on the road felt uptight. when do you wanna attempt to get this done?
Honestly? No clue. My only plan so far’s been to talk to him as soon as I can, but catchin’ him long enough for a serious talk ain’t easy. You got any ideas?
