so I was thinking deeply about the part in the ATSD DS game when doof and perry hold hands as seen here

and I realized that this is the first ever instance of them holding hands in general. this game came out about 8 months before The Doonkelberry Imperative which is the first time they hold hands in the show

what did the game developers know…

I just want to know how they came up with the idea for them to hold hands in the game in general. because the way it turned out is very funny. like it already adds nothing to the gameplay but they REALLY focus on it for a while. they have them holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes at the beginning of the haunted dimension levels (the above pics) and then when all those are finished they’re still doing it

they hold hands throughout this entire cutscene and then when the 3 kids leave they just zoom in on them for a few seconds

like omg we get it they’re holding hands!!! why do they spend so much time on it????? why did they do this

I get weirdly emotional about the fact Phineas and Ferb is so awfully smart structured. Having the characters randomly say words in a different language, the soundtrack consisting of different genres, getting cultural and historical references and so much more. All in one KIDS show.

Every time I rewatch the show it’s so incredibly lovely to just SEE that Swampy and Dan really do love their own show, their characters and the plotlines. The amount of effort put into Phineas and Ferb is just so so heart warming.
