Okay tough guy calm down... This is the very definition of "try hard". The green cap and nametagged jacket to *imply* Army without actually *being* Army, the nondescript shades, the overly stylized video game villain beard, the "I live a hard life" ripped jeans that only really say "hey everyone look at my hairy knobby knees", and the final admission that the whole outfit is a fraud: Converse. Great coat, and sure, rock that turtleneck... But I definitely have mixed feelings about the chunky watch and driving gloves. They're difficult to justify as anything but ornamentation, and arguments to the contrary sound like excuses. It's simply costuming. The "cheerleader effect" works in the opposite direction for men. Individually these guys look fine (not amazing - but they're ok) but standing together the fact that they're just wearing a basic "uniform" that was chosen with very little thought becomes clear. It makes them look positively dorky.
