ok so i noticed upon rewatches of petal that the guy wrote that she could lose a few pounds… and i really don’t think that this was by anybody working on wicked with her, and yes it absolutely is talking about the public simultaneously skinny shaming and fat shaming her, (which i think that fat shaming was especially loud during her thank u next and positions era, which might have contributed to her weight loss. and NO i’m not saying she has an ed, obvs she could be sick, her body could have just changed, etc. i’m just saying it might have affected it, obvs i don’t know her so why does my opinion matter) but i can’t help but wonder (since the way it was phrased and shown) if the scene could’ve referenced or alluded to what was written about her by nickelodeon execs when she was young, especially dan schneider. i can’t help but think abt it cuz from when she was like 16-early twenties she would post what she’s eating (not full on ed content but def food tracking and stuff). idk, from any angle its really worrying and heartbreaking. i really hope the weight loss isn’t due to any of this (not that i hope she’s sick) and i just hope she’s okay. she says she is, and we don’t know her, so im assuming she is healthy.
