Figured I should actually make my intro post! Hi, I'm Boop or CJ! I use any pronouns but typically go by she/they! I live on a traditional livestock pokemon ranch in Johto, with many imported pokemon from other regions! I mainly work with our equines, mareep, and skiddo. I'm currently studying the history of pokemon and working to become an original-type pokemon conservationist. My sibling is @soapy-pokemon <3 My main pokemon are listed below:

1: Bingley - Shiny Sylveon - My "main"! He is incredibly special to me, as he chose me to be his trainer when he was an eevee! He's the littermate to my siblings Umbreon, Darcy

2: Brie - Quilava - My starter! I followed the traditional starter choices for my region and got Brie as a Cyndaquil. She hasn't wanted to evolve, and I don't want to force her too

3: Klyde - Mudsdale - He is actually a girl, don't tell him! I got him at an auction and the previous owners had already named him so I had to keep it

4: Cumulonimbus- Luxray - My second pokemon! I love her to death and she's saved my hide from some wild pokemon multiple times

5: Mittens - Boltund - One of my main herding dogs! She is part of a four way team: Bolt, Mittens, Rhino, and Penny

6: Tater - Trapinch - My most recent pokemon! I'm really excited to have a little bug now!

finally time to reveal them because they're actually both in a picture together.... please meet Elio (the cyndaquil) and Soleil (the eevee). I met them both on my journey, relatively recently. Soleil I picked outside a pokecenter from a "free to a good home" box- or rather she decided to follow me out of the box... Elio is more recent. a friend I met wasn't able to take him with them... so he came with me. he's a little moody but it's okay. he can take his time.

Hiii! I'm Rosalind (she/they), a trainer and pokemon riding instructor from Unova! I used to have one of these Rotomblr blogs when i was like 13, deleted it, and decided that I might as well come back considering the state of the world and internet.

I love watching all sorts of pokemon sporting events especially those that involve riding pokemon, and am pretty partial to racing events! I do actually compete on occasion in some western rapidash riding events (smaller local amateur stuff) and used to do some ponyta racing stuff when I was younger, but I'm mostly a pleasure rider/ride for my job. I am completely normal about rapidash and can be trusted to infodump about them. Come closer.

I'm very proud of my two rapidash. Vulcan is an Unovan quarter horse, and Cookie is an Unovan paint horse. Mac, my herdier, is is a mix between a couple different breeds and I love him very much, I am just a horsegirl at heart and will never stop being one </3

this blog does intend to add a bit of realism to pokemon. mamillian pokemon for the most part dont lay eggs (because the concept of dog eggs is scary to me), theres a variety of breeds of various pokemon (especially those based off domesticated animals), lots of colour variation in pokemon (especially those based off domesticated animals), and more. if our characters get into an argument about how pokemon work, typically rosalind will be right on how things work, at least within her universe, unless it's a pokemon she'd reasonably not be very familiar of, and in those cases i'll usually make it clear that she's incorrect in the tags or something. if you are uncomfortable with stuff like this, please do not get into arguments with rosalind, or make it clear out of character you are getting uncomfortable in the middle of an interaction, because otherwise i, the mun, will not figure it out.

both mun and muse are full adults, expect possible suggestive humour as well as potential mentions of alcohol or drugs. things will be tagged to the best of my ability and this isn't gonna be an overtly nsfw blog, but it likely will happen at some point or another so its good to be warned.

Figured that, if I really wanna get to know Clips better and see if I can fix things... maybe I should spend some time with her just one on one. If she feels like shes gotta compete with the others, then that's no good, right?

I think one of the smaller wild zones might be a good place to let her roam free. Maybe get some battle experience if she chooses, but if not it's no big deal... wild zone three might be a good place to start? Most of the pokemon there are pretty tame, save for maybe the litleo that prowls around the tower... if i have to, I'll see if Wipeout can deal with the little bugger.

Otherwise... I think it'll be nice to get some fresh air out there anyways! I miss the old plaza, but seeing all the cute little flabebe is totally worth it!

Hey so... I've literally never seen an Espurr like this. I know the shiny is fully pink, and the standard fur color is the greyish purple but... what is it called when the little critter is both??? Simultaneously???

I saw it when Clipper started yelping over by some of the bushes. Little thing looked super confused.

Honestly, though, it seems to like Clipper a lot, even if she's super nervous around it... won't stop following us around now.

I'm an amateur show Magikarp breeder, and last night someone broke into my ponds. Spent all day doing inventory and making sure my darlings were all okay when I spotted something odd. Whoever broke in didn't steal anything, but they did dump a feebas into one of my ponds!? I managed to isolate it, and the vet I usually work with came over to give it a check over, and it seems perfectly healthy. I'm just wondering why. Is it some sort of setup, trying to make me seem like a thief? Somebody trying to get rid of their pet? I don't even know why they had it in the first place. I live in rural Unova!

it's unfortunate, but feebas tend to get dumped a lot. there aren't a lot of people interested in raising a pokemon that, to them, seems ugly and weak. the people who do raise them are usually either interested in the aquarium hobby/business or want a milotic for battle or contests. the problem is, getting a feebas to evolve is a lot of work if you don't have access to a prism scale. getting the parameters of their pond exactly perfect and getting their scale condition to the benchmark for evolution isn't easy even for experienced keepers, and many people end up surrendering or abandoning their feebas when it doesn't evolve. i'll bet whoever dropped this feebas off just didn't want it anymore. there's a small population of feebas in unova, but they certainly aren't common, so whoever dumped it had to have gone out of their way to get it.

i'm glad to hear it's healthy at least! feebas do pretty well with magikarp and thrive in similar environments to them, and they're both very hardy species that can be found together in the wild. if you want to keep it, it should do just fine with your current school.

What do you think of grimers and muks going extinct because of pollution solutions? And should I be concerned about the grimer I have?

i wouldn't worry too hard about it. while specifically kantoian grimer like to drink up factory wastewater and that's becoming a less habitable situation, they're a pretty resilient species that'll feed on any kind of waste or garbage buildup as long as humans are throwing shit away
