Every portrayal of noa's words and actions in the show feels reminiscent of how other victims around me and later myself would reenact the abuse believing that was just how the world worked.

That type of abuse can very easily make you cling harder to your abusers believing your only value comes from their validation and the only means to their validation is to hurt others the way they hurt you.

The later episodes after gozaburo tells him off sort of follow the pattern of conceptual grief that comes with growing older and realizing the situation you're in.

The feeling of being a child without a body in a stagnant and poorly rendered world years after the events is cptsd culture. The end of the arc kind of felt like making peace with the scars or persecutors that are now part of you.

Dpdr is a dissociative disorder defined by the persistent feeling of detatchment from one's body and surrounding reality, usually associated with childhood abuse, and in many cases ive personally seen it can be accompanied by delusions of fake/simulated reality and related hallucinations such as visual and auditory perceptions of glitches and display errors.
