I have no where to talk about kingdom hearts 3 so I'm just gonna do it here. Idk how to out shit under a cut so if you don't wanna see it I would suggest leaving right now.

So I'm about 12 hours in and I'm having a lot of fun but the story seems... empty? You would think for a game that's been hyped for over a decade with probably one of the most convoluted plots for a video game the pacing would be...not this slow? I hate to say it but I realize I'm rushing through the Disney worlds because I just want my questions answered. In both kh1 and kh2 the Disney worlds tied into the plot, but in kh3 I feel like I'm just watching the worlds respective Disney movie and kh characters are kind of on the side.

That brings me to my second point: the worlds. I've done Tangled, Toy Story and Monsters INC so far and the latter two were very enjoyable and fun, but Tangled...oh boy. I think the only reason I knew what was happening during that level was because I've watched the movie so many times. Most of the cutscenes were just recreations of actual movie footage which I have to say I wasn't a fan of. Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies to be included in Kingdom Hearts (the other one being Nightmare Before Christmas, which still holds the title of my favorite kh world so far) and I felt let down by it. I've looked ahead to see what the other worlds will be like (and spoiled myself in the process a bit) and it seems like the Frozen world is going to be similar to how the Tangled world was handled, which I am not looking forward to.

The gameplay is really flashy and fun. You have the option of summoning theme park rides, which I thought was really creative. If you're more if a fan of old school gameplay, however, you can elect to ignore the attraction and form commands in favor of a more hack-and-slash experience. I really like the form changes and shotlock commands, it reminds me of bbs which had, in my opinion, the best gameplay.

The graphics are fucking NOICE. I'm playing on the PS4 and everything is absolutely gorgeous. The cutscenes are more cinematic and the voice acting is a lot better than in previous titles (but still not good, but half of kingdom hearts's appeal is absolutely shit writing and dialogue). I really enjoy the look of the game and returning worlds, such as twilight town, now seem fully realized.

That's about all of my thoughts on kingdom hearts 3 so far, I know the story picks up after a while but right now I kind of feel like I'm being strung along doing side quests until I'm allowed to progress in the main story. I'm having fun and enjoying my time but I just wanna see my girl Aqua.
