T4T sphinx boyfriends their names are Lavender Dream (he/them) and Rose Torn (he/him)
thinking about home-made clothes through the centuries and how like. can you imagine. a mother picking out the thread to embroider her daughter's skirt with her favourite flowers. a young man fixing his father's shirt sleeves so they don't get in the way of his work
thinking about children's costumes 🥺🥺🥺 like hundreds of years ago, a child who wants to dress like their favourite Greek hero and making the fringe of a roman skirt out of discard bits of leather? so that they can run and play in the street?
like. hrhrjrrj part of what frustrates me how some ppl talk about history is they go really hard on like "history was miserable and people struggled" but people have always loved each other and have always cared for each other and have always PLAYED and facilitated play
and it just makes me feel so soft and happy thinking about it. the little details people love about each other, their family, their friends, their lovers

i was a christian before. i’m not sure if i can call myself one now. i’m queer and i like listening to omar apollo and lil nas x. i listen to them almost everyday. (i only listen to christian hymns on sunday). yet whenever i catch myself humming some tune that rises from my heart, i realise that it is a hymn, simple and sweet. i realise this, and i am comforted.
yall ever feel this inner conflict between sharing stuff you create with others, and keeping some things - photos, bits of poetry, doodles, musings of life - that you’re not going to share with anyone because it’s just nice to have some things to yourself in a world where privacy can sometimes be a luxury
At my core I need to shut the hell up and read a short novel that changes me forever
five recipes for an exciting life (in my opinion)
spending enough time creating things with your hands (baking, drawing, scrapbooking, doodling, crocheting, journaling and so on)
keeping track of things like pretty skies, milestones, happy memories, appointments you're looking forward to
listening to music that genuinely makes you feel happy and energetic
making a habit of reaching out to people in a way that's comfortable to you (i send my dad songs he might like, my friend sends me monthly life updates)
being kind to all your five senses → like investing in a scented candle or essential oil dispenser or body mist, having a soft blanket or socks (or a soft animal to pet), listening to birdsong or the rain, looking at the sky more often, and having your favorite foods enough times

introduction
Hey! Welcome to my second Tumblr account! I used to have a really private one a couple years ago and a side blog where I posted poetry I found online (that one got overrun by porn bots), but having had more time now to pursue my interests, I decided to make a casual blog now for fun!
About Me
I’m a 19-year-old (he/him) living in Southeast Asia where it’s always humid but the food always good!
I’m currently held hostage by the government under what they call “military conscription”. Honestly it isn’t as bad as it seems. It’s kinda like boarding school sometimes.
I’m planning to major in anthropology and minor in art history and interactive media after army! And I’d love to maybe work in a museum or gallery someday.
I like reading and learning all sorts of new things about art, history, culture and society. I’m currently planning to teach myself visual art, webdev, and graphic design so if you know how to do those things please hmu!
My toxic trait is thinking I can use the same profile pic on every social media. Oh and also never ever finishing a tv show cos idk they don’t hit like printed pages do yknow 🫠
Also I have a small newsletter and bookstagram which you should def check out for book reviews and random stuff I write about things that pique my interest!
See y’all around :))
