“Where you going? Dont go! No No No No…”
✘- Fox
a HATEFUL text.
Bo: unlike you, i tell you important shit in my life so i’m telling you this
Bo: i’m in the hospital
Bo: don't bother coming here, don't bother pretending to care about me
Bo: still can't stand to look at you right now
bovalentine:
“What can I say, I’m a fantastic Valentine,” Bo said, giggling at the pun one of her own last name. Fingers tapped on the wheel as Fox turned on the rock station, her head bobbing to the beat. “Nice choice,” she added, turning left towards the restaurant. “So, how has your day been, Fox?”
“Dare I say, the best one?” Fox added, laughing with Bo. At her question, he shrugged a shoulder, glancing over at her. “Fine. Nothing extraordinary happened. This is probably the best part of it,” he chuckled faintly. “What about you? Anything exciting happen today?”
“I probably am, if I can toot my own horn,” she add, crinkling her nose lightly in laughter. “This is also the most exciting thing that’s happened to me,” Bo answered, shrugging a shoulder as she paused at a stop sign, then started to drive again. “Actually, a boy who frequents the shop with his mom gave me a valentine today that had a bee on it, with the phrase ‘bee my valentine’ on it. That was pretty exciting.”
bovalentine:
Bo smiled faintly as the teen agreed for her to help him, taking three clipboard and pen from his hands carefully. “It’s no problem,” she said, adjusting the tubing around her ear before focusing on the sheets in front of her. She crossed off his attempt to write and wrote in the date at the corner of the page. “So, name and age?” Bo asked, glancing over to the teen before looking back to the clipboard. “And if you have insurance, they need the name of your carrier.”
He let the clipboard and pen slip from his fingertips, a soft sigh falling from his lips. He hated needed help, but in the current situation, there was really no other option if he wanted to get home to his sister before midnight. “—Everett Dacker, and sixteen.” For once, he gave his real name, knowing any police officer would recognize his street name if he were to put it. “Ain’t got any insurance.”
Bo jotted down the information as he spoke, the pen making soft scratching sounds against the paper. "No insurance, got it," she mumbled to herself, something catching in her throat. Quickly, she coughed into her elbow away from the bleeding teen. "Sorry about that, Everett," the sickly girl apologized, clearing her throat before glancing over to him. "Okay now, any allergies? Also, they're gonna need what injuries you have currently."
bovalentine:
Bo furrowed her brow, brown eyes falling back on her forms. “Whatever,” she said, more confused than anything else - who would she even tell that she saw him? She didn’t know him, even if she thought he looked familiar. She focused back on the paperwork, chewing lightly on her lip. A few silent minutes later and she finished the forms, standing up and walking to the receptionist. The girl smiled and handed off the clipboard, making her way back to her spot. She sat down, fully planning to keep to herself… until she noticed the boy struggling to write. “Do you need help writing or something…? Doesn’t look easy with your shoulder fucked up like that.”
He sat back in his seat with a huff, clearly done with all the shit that happened today. Not to mention that he still hadn’t got back to check on his sister… shit. He had completely forgot about her— he promised he’d be home right after the deal, but now, who knows what time he’ll end up strolling in. He noticed the girl walk away, and he sighed in relief, but it was cut short as she came right back. “No, I go—” He sighed, knowing that the faster he got this thing filled out, the faster the day would go by. “Yeah, actually… thanks.”

“Let’s take my car,” Bo answered, trailing behind Fox a few steps ahead. “That way you can admire the chocolate cross right now,” she added with a laugh, hopping down the steps of the porch once they were out front. The girl made the way to her car, grabbing her keys from her purse and unlocking it. “But, you can pick the music today.” Opening the door, she placed her tank in the car and slid inside the driver’s seat.
“Damn. Chocolate, dinner, and I get to pick the music? This is like the best Valentine’s Day, ever!” He laughed, as he opened up the door to her car and got into the passenger’s seat. Immediately, he changed the station in the car to the rock and roll station, turning up the volume a little bit when he heard what was playing.
“What can I say, I’m a fantastic Valentine,” Bo said, giggling at the pun one of her own last name. Fingers tapped on the wheel as Fox turned on the rock station, her head bobbing to the beat. “Nice choice,” she added, turning left towards the restaurant. “So, how has your day been, Fox?”
bovalentine:
“Hm…” Bo trailed off in thought, glancing up to the ceiling before looking back to Fox. “Let’s do LA Sushi, I haven’t been there in forever,” she decided, standing up from her spot. She quickly dusted off her dress of sugar cookie crumbs before tugging on the hemline. “Ready to go soon?”
“Sure am,” Fox replied with a smile, finishing off his cookie before taking another one, for the road. “You wanna take my car, or yours?” He asked as began making his way towards the front door.

Bo chewed on her lip, almost halfway done with her forms. “Ah, okay. Just thought you looked kind of familiar,” she replied, keeping her gaze on the clipboard. Of course this kid didn’t want to talk to her - no one wanted to talk to other people in the public waiting room. Bo was, in fact, most likely the exception to the rule. Having been in her fair share of waiting rooms in her life, she never was a fan of the awkward, depressing aura of them. Talking to people helped take her mind off of it. “Well, it looks like you might have had a worse day than me,” the girl deadpanned, looking to the boy with an arched brow.
He had barely started on his own— his wounded shoulder the side that he usually wrote with, and even the slightest of movements sent a tidal wave of pain through him. He had barely got his name down, half-hearted scribbled of his non-dominant had and he could of swore he heard her say she recognized him. His eyes went wide for a moment as he turned to her. “Listen, ya’ ain’t seen me before, got it? And ya’ don’t see me right now, and ya’ ain’t gon’ tell anyone about this, got it?” He didn’t give her a chance to reply, slumping back in his seat with a wince and squinted eyes staring at the paper as he tried his hardest to get it filled out. “Ya’, no shit.”
Bo furrowed her brow, brown eyes falling back on her forms. "Whatever," she said, more confused than anything else - who would she even tell that she saw him? She didn't know him, even if she thought he looked familiar. She focused back on the paperwork, chewing lightly on her lip. A few silent minutes later and she finished the forms, standing up and walking to the receptionist. The girl smiled and handed off the clipboard, making her way back to her spot. She sat down, fully planning to keep to herself... until she noticed the boy struggling to write. "Do you need help writing or something...? Doesn't look easy with your shoulder fucked up like that."
bovalentine:
Bo nodded at his comment, quietly saying, “Don’t plan on nudging your shoulder,” under her breath as she continued to fill out the form. She stopped for a moment, glancing to her tank before nestling it between her knees. Feeling something start to come up in her throat, she pulled out a tissue from her purse and coughed into it. Phlegm, more than usual. She grimaced, crumpling the tissue and hiding it under her leg. Glancing to the bloody boy again, she paused, brow furrowing. She had seen him somewhere before… but where? “You go to the college around here?” Bo asked, her gaze on her form.
He caught sight of the oxygen tank and nearly sighed aloud, but held it in, knowing any small or large movements could damage his shoulder much worse. Great, a fucking cancer baby. He knew the type, or at least, he knew the ones he encountered before. Whiny little bitches who don’t want anything but pity and attention. He thought them to be annoying, and he was sure he’d think the same of her. And of course, she had to go asking questions. “Nope.”

Harder for her to breathe than usual, Bo had driven herself to the hospital, not wanting to bother Fox for a ride. It was ‘the usual’ kind of problems, needing her lungs cleared out - she didn’t want to scare him with something she could deal with herself. Once in the hospital waiting room, she took her clipboard of paperwork and glanced around the room. Lot of people in there, but she spotted an empty seat beside a boy who…. unfortunately looked like he was bleeding. Coughing into the crook of her arm, she shuffled to the spot, the wheels of her oxygen tank squeaking against the linoleum floor, and sat down. “Sorry to invade your space, but this was the only free spot,” she apologized to the boy, grabbing a pen from her purse. Bo glanced to the kid, trying to hide any shock by how he looked. She looked away, starting to scribble away at her first form.
The boy shifted uncomfortably in his small hospital seat, muffling invisible curses towards the secretary at the counter every now and then, a groan slipping its way in inevitably. It hurt so much, but it’s not like it was his first bullet wound. He knew the pain he knew the procedure, and he knew he could take it. But when that dainty little girl sat her ass right next to him, he could already feel the stress falling onto his shoulders. “Just don’t nudge my shoulder and we’ll be fucking peachy.” The words came through gritted teeth and a hard stared directed nowhere in particular.
Bo nodded at his comment, quietly saying, "Don't plan on nudging your shoulder," under her breath as she continued to fill out the form. She stopped for a moment, glancing to her tank before nestling it between her knees. Feeling something start to come up in her throat, she pulled out a tissue from her purse and coughed into it. Bo laughed, scrunching up her nose lightly. “It’s just weird, but you just seem like a chocolate cross kind of man,” she teased, letting out a soft chuckle. “Ooh… Japanese sounds really good,” she agreed with him, nodding her head. “Yeah, I could totally go for some sushi. You wanna go to the Sushi Boat or the one place that just reads, Japanese in big, red letters?”
“Hmm…” He thought for a moment, taking another bite out of his cookie. “Maybe the Sushi Boat? Or there’s also LA Sushi. They have killer dynamite rolls there. Lady’s choice, though.” He smiled at Bo.
"Hm..." Bo trailed off in thought, glancing up to the ceiling before looking back to Fox. "Let's do LA Sushi, I haven't been there in forever," she decided, standing up from her spot. She quickly dusted off her dress of sugar cookie crumbs before tugging on the hemline. "Ready to go soon?"
bovalentine:
“Wait, you didn’t get the life-size cutout of me I sent you?” She asked, teasingly as she took another bite. “I have chocolate for you in my car. It’s a chocolate cross I found in the Easter section, because I thought that was more you than a heart-shaped box of chocolates.” Finished with the cookie, she crumbled up her napkin, thought kept it balled up in her fist. “Ah, a good Valentine’s tradition. You know, we could go out to eat. It’ll be better than Ramen noodles and Cheetos.”
“I might’ve, but I haven’t checked my mailbox, yet.” He gave Bo a playful smirk, stealing another cookie. “I’m not sure what that says about how I present myself as a person, but I can’t say I disagree,” he laughed. “I also have something for you in my car. And they may or may not also be some form of chocolate.” He cook a bite out of the second cookie, not even bothering to swallow before speaking again, “I was thinking Japanese… Been really craving sushi lately. If that’s alright with you.”
Bo laughed, scrunching up her nose lightly. "It's just weird, but you just seem like a chocolate cross kind of man," she teased, letting out a soft chuckle. "Ooh... Japanese sounds really good," she agreed with him, nodding her head. "Yeah, I could totally go for some sushi. The deal had gone wrong— so wrong. How had he not seen it coming? First, it was all merry and happy, he had his and out for the money they owned, next, silver was blinding his eye and his shoulder was flung back, blog pooling in the shirt. He had been shot. In the fucking arm. His buddies rushed him to the hospital before he could even register the situation, dumping him there and running for the hills. It was protocol, but it would’ve been nice to have a little fucking help. The kid had to wait, just like all the others, for his treatments. His body ricocheted with pin, but he held up; He had to if they were going to get in and out of here without a questioning sight.

Bo smiled widely as she spotted Fox, swallowing down her bit of cookie. “Hey, Fox,” she replied, dusting her hands off on her pink dress. “I’m just trying to live up to my last name,” she answered, gesturing to the flowers and cookies. “Since I didn’t have any plans today, I figured if I could do something nice here. I also gave flowers to that old lady, Ms. Herrera, who lives across from me….” she trailed off, smiling to her friend. “What’re you doing here?”
“You brought the cookies?” Fox mumbled through a full mouth before swallowing. “Where’s my Valentine’s surprise?” He teased, smiling at her and taking another bite. “I uh… I just had to drop something off for someone here,” he answered, not totally lying to her. “I just came into the kitchen to steal some food.” He grinned.

Bo made a quick adjustment to the floral arrangement, pink and red roses, on the kitchen counter, a wide smile on her face. While the girl didn’t have plans with ‘someone special’ for the holiday, she still liked to celebrate in any way she could. So, bringing a little Valentine’s Day cheer to the Murder House seemed to be a decent place to start. She opened up a box of sugar cookies carefully beside the flowers, placing a pale pink card beside it that read, ’take one!’ with a heart drawn beside it. Bo paused, grabbing a napkin and placing one of the cookies on it before shuffling to the table and sitting down. As she waited for someone, anyone, to come inside the kitchen, she tore of piece off of the cookie and popped it into her mouth.
It was Valentine’s day, but that didn’t mean Fox had the day off. In fact, it felt like even more people wanted to buy off of him than usual, not that he minded. Things had been kind of slow for him lately, so it was nice getting some business, even if that business came from one of his least favourite places– the murder house.
Once he had finished selling what he had, Fox decided to make his way down to the kitchen and see if he couldn’t steal any quick snacks from the kids. Much to his surprise, Fox saw a face that he didn’t completely hate sitting at the kitchen table. “Hey, Bo,” he said with a smile, walking over to the plate of cookies that were left on the counter. “What’re you doing here?”
Bo smiled widely as she spotted Fox, swallowing down her bit of cookie. "Hey, Fox," she replied, dusting her hands off on her pink dress. YOUR MUSE AND MY MUSE PLANTING A GARDEN TOGETHER
“I'm so glad we convinced Mr. Caplan to let us use the rooftop,” Bo said with a giggle, carefully placing a plant inside a hole in their garden box. After a few weeks of constant asking and bribery in the form of sugar cookies, Bo and Aurora finally convinced their landlord into letting them use the roof to make a small garden. “This is probably the best idea we've ever had…” the sickly girl trailed off, packing soil to fill up the rest of the hole. “Other than us pouring pretzel M&M’s into a bag of popcorn,” she added, glancing to her friend giggling in agreement. Aurora finishing up the last plant, Bo clapped her hands together happily. “It's done!” The girl said, wiping her hands off on her overalls before standing up. Holding her hand out for her friend to take, she added, “Now movie time? I was thinking La La Land.”
