i don't remember what originally inspired me to start on this gramophone girl, but recently i found her in my wip folder and decided to finish the project. also finally got a chance to test this shiny copper filament and i love how it looks.

Face blindness is very subjective person to person and is different depending on how their brain perceives things. If Randy met up with the same person every single day, would he recognize them? or is he entirely face blind?

It's very contextual.

If he met the same person in the same spot twice or knew someone was meeting him at a specific location and they arrived, he would instantly know who they are.

However, he would also see someone he knew on the street but be afraid to approach them in case he's instead just seeing someone who looks similar. In the past, he has said hi to someone up close, face to face, only to realize it's not the person he thought it was, leading to embarrassment. seeing someone every day would heavily reduce the likelihood this'd happen, though.

How did you come into possession of all the phones you used for the dialtown characters? Do/did you specifically go out looking for vintage/older phones?

A few were acquired that way! But honestly, most of them were just gifted to me by my older family members.

"What, he's collecting old phones? Oh, fuck, I'll give him mine. It's just sitting on a closet somewhere collecting dust. Be good to get rid of it."

Multiply that 10x and you have your answer. Funnily enough, both of my grandmothers had Oliver's exact model of telephone. Same colour too. Weirder still is that one of them was still using hers as her house phone 'til the day she died.
