Honestly, trying to pin down a specific age where a difference in maturity stops being a big deal is sort of missing the point.

Until a person has the life experience required to be able to tell when they’re being manipulated and are able to speak up for themselves, they’re going to be vulnerable to predators who are more experienced and more savvy than them
