y'all i just started reading the six of crows duology last weekend... im about jalf way through the second book.

this shit is so good why did no one tell me?? this is peak fiction. this is perfect for the kind of media i enjoy. i 1000% recommend this shit to everyoneeeee. everyone. pls read it. its so good.

the characters are so well done, the romances are so good, the plot is so interesting. genuinely one of those books that you cannot put down. i love it. pls read it.

im kinda sad we never got a full gaang plot filler episode of them like... fighting/saving people. like we get aang+zuko, sokka+zuko, katara+zuko and we get the play episode. but what about them saving a village? or going on a side mission to help random people and zuko and sokka are like "we do NOT have time for this." and katara and aang are like "we'll make time." i just feel robbed of seeing the full gaang in that kind of scenario, yk?

y'all, i saw someone say that natla writers are afraid of women having flaws, and their examples were suki, katara, and azula.

now, admittedly i have my issues with the way katara and suki are represented in the live action, but i LOVED the way azula was done. the original post said that azula was a sociopath, and that's a flaw, and the writers should let her have that flaw. i disagree.

in my opinion, up until the boiling rock episode (honestly, you could even push it further and say the finale) azula's portrayal is very one dimensional. she exists to be a villain. to be zuko's foil.

until she has a breakdown, and you realize, oh. she's just a kid. she's completely alone, facing her worst fear; that she wasn't good enough. i think her being written/perceived as a sociopath is a direct result of the one dimensional writing.

i love azula in both versions. i think she deserves to be her own character. i'm glad the natla writers are fleshing out her character more, and i'm genuinely excited to see how they navigate her story. i hope they do my girl justice.

i want to write a fic (maybe reader insert, maybe oc) but i want to like start at the end of s1 of a show, and follow the plot.

but how do i make it all connect and cohesive without rewriting every episode that everyone has already seen? ykwim?
