I know autistic!beca lives in everyone's heart rent-free, but I can never quite shake adhd!chloe either tbh. she's such a fucking puppy, puts her whole being into everything, and rejection is such a brick to the face. plus, I like to think that she lets aubrey walk all over her in the first movie not just because of rejection sensitivity but because people always tell her she's too much, so to keep aubrey's stress to a low she becomes just enough. (and in the second movie she takes aubrey's role because she thinks that's what the bellas need, beca being her chloe from the first year, and how do you even function as a normal human being?) (please I have so many reasons for adhd!chloe)
trans!aubrey. like, in my brain it makes so much sense because this girl has got EVERYTHING to prove, from the former bellas to her strict military father. what if he always wanted a son and aubrey wants to prove she can still be enough while being a woman? it explains why they're a little estranged TO ME. also why she's so fucking nervous all the time.
sometimes I remember the time I watched the first movie for the 24956849th time and noticed amy hovers near aubrey constantly, almost like she wants to impress her all the time, and yeah that's probably because aubrey is the captain who wears the pants in the chaubrey relationship, but also............... amy/aubrey
though, as much as I love to ship everything and anything, I also can't shake aroace aubrey. it explains her hate for the trebles in the first movie (fuck society's expectations of boy meets girl) and a part of why she's so anti-beca. because she can see she's losing chloe (no that's not because she's pushing chloe away herself, wdym). (please i NEED queerplatonic chaubrey. inject that directly into my veins)
personally I like to believe chloe knows she's queer from the first movie on. she's just too afraid to act on it because it might scare everyone she cares about off. she's dipping her toes in that pool when she tells beca about experimenting, thinking maybe their friendship is strong enough to survive it.
beca mitchell is a dweeb to ME. i picture her sneaking into the library to read the latest manga volume they added. but only the psychological ones. she'd definitely be a death note girly.
speaking of beca mitchell, she mostly listens to punk and alternative artists, idc what the movies try to tell me. she went to a my chemical romance concert without her parents knowing, and it altered her brain chemistry forever. this will never mean that beca intensely dislikes pop music, it's just that punk is her comfort genre.
