Re This Night. . This night at its peak was as spontaneous as the rest of the year had been. This was the night I met the Klammers and Dan on the roof of the parking garage for a very impromptu shoot, while traversing downtown St Catharines with @seeechelle and @sadielouwilson trying to figure out how to fill the night. . Not a week into owning my #5dmkiii I attempted to swing my way up onto the ledge (pictured behind the cars) to snag a few group rear shots. I placed the brand new professional-grade body equipped with a canon 70-200mm f/2.8L and #600exrt on the ledge prior to swinging my legs up. The first foot caught the edge of the lens hood and sent it flying off the side of the 6th floor balcony. My heart stopped. . In a desperate attempt to somehow manage catching the plummeting $5000 camera rig I swung the other leg up and over the edge and looked down while grasping the ledge. To my surprise there was no camera falling. . I made the realization that in bringing the second leg around I was able to get the strap wrapped around my ankle and prevent my uninsured asset from falling six stories and smashing into a million and three pieces. . The best part is that nobody witnessed this blindingly quick series of events and I was able to briskly continue shooting. . Sacrifices Create Change. . . It’s with many mixed emotions that I must announce the imminent retirement of the #LTLRDWGN . . This car has been with me pretty much since day one. Since that cold and bitter January (2005) this Car has been keeping my butt warm for a healthy 417,000KM. But with all of that mileage, longevity tends to take a back seat . . Throughout the past few months, changes like a full interior gut, muffler delete, lowering, front clip swap, a pile of new rims, intercooler upgrade and a whole mess of dreamlike plans have been committed to this car . . I’m beyond grateful for everyone who’s been along for the ride (even if it’s just been one dinner back in the day.) it’s time for a change, which must come through sacrifice . .
