It’s so funny to imagine Wicked from the perspective of one of the normal students at Shiz. There’s this girl and she’s weird and an overachieving nerd and no one likes her, but then the popular girl becomes best friends with her overnight so you guess she’s chill now. They might be sleeping together but no one’s really sure. They’re also low key dating the same guy but you’re not clear on if it’s a polycule situation or a love triangle. Whatever. You’re just trying to study for finals. Your history teacher gets arrested and no explains why. You just hope this won’t effect your grade in the class. The weird nerdy girl gets a letter from the president inviting her to come see him. Wow, that’s exciting. She and her maybe-girlfriend go off to the capitol and you go back to homework and dorm room parties. One day later one of your professors is on the national radio saying that the weird nerdy girl, who used to be her favorite student, is now a terrorist, has stolen the nuclear codes, and is on the run from the government. You are still expected to show up to class tomorrow.

Les Misérables fans I have to issue an apology for not taking you on your word about Enjolras and Grantaire, as I have now read both of their introductions and I can safely say that was some of the gayest shit I have ever read in my life. I figured you were onto something but man, right off the bat. Just jaw-droppingly homosexual.

quick rant: i have seen videos of people at stage door at broadway shows and it actually looks insane. people shoving against the barricades and shouting at the actors. it’s really disrespectful. you pay to watch a show - not to get an autograph or photo from an actor. it’s basically an actor working overtime to come say hi to their audience. it unfair that when they do they are treated with this aggression. and also - they don’t have to attend stage door in the first place! fans need to be more understanding that actors are busy and probably exhausted by the end of a show. like jack wolfe apologising on instagram for being to panicky to attend stage door? he should not need to apologise omg. i get it’s exciting to attend stage door and it can be disappointing when actors don’t show up. i get it! but it shouldn’t be made an expectation in the first place that they come to every stage door and fans need to be more understanding. from what i’ve experienced of stage door where i live, i always end up making conversation with random strangers in line. i love how wholesome it is to be amongst people who also share the same passion for theatre as me. even if the actors don’t show up - it’s a lovely atmosphere to be in. so please stage door can be a very enjoyable experience if you treat each other with kindness and patience!
