Hey uh. Donāt think you need to prove yourself as a lifter by going to Sephora amd Ultaā¦.even if youāre supes experienced itās A-OK to have continuous Hot Topic and Claireās hauls. Lifting aināt a game, you lift what you want or what youād like to boost. Why would you buy something you donāt want? Why would you lift something you donāt want with no intentions of boosting? Easy stores are easy bets and the more you stick to places like Hot Topic, F21 and Claires the less likely youāll be caught. Clout and attention aint worth it.
My favorite thing to do when lifting is go into the dressing rooms and see if there is any clothes in there that someone left behind and lift that stuff. Yesterday I went to Dillard's and found 4 swimsuits in the dressing rooms all over 100 dollars šš
Honestly lmao itās so fun to go to places and abuse the dressing rooms being messy. Itās easy to gauge how much attention the attendants pay to the rooms too like donāt go overboard but be that asshole that leaves a couple of things in the dressing room when theyāre done rather than put them in the ādidnāt fitā bin. Come back a bit later with more to try on and try to get the same dressing room if you arenāt led to one and if your stuff is still there you can prob go nuts.
omg how have i never thought of this⦠so many messy dressing rooms in my city too yess
YES I DO THIS! In JC pĆØnny, their fitting rooms are basically dumping grounds. Iāve gone in there before disappointed with only a few gross womenās shirts worth $15, but I walked in one time to find a winter coat and some Nike gear. That shit was s n a t c h e d.
You can take this tip a step further even. Have a lifting buddy enter the store half an hour earlier than you. Make sure they take items you want to lift into the dressing room!! They need to dump everything and leave it in one dressing room. Have them browse the store afterwards. Any LP will be looking at them.
10 minutes later, you walk in, āshopā, pick out two things. Enter dressing room, the clothes your friend discarded will hopefully still be there. If they are, lift away my friend!!! Once concealed, walk out with the same two clothing articles OR put them on any discard rack.
Outfit that will work for literally any store:
Listen up, folks. Keeping in mind that your goal is to blend in while still looking like you have money⦠You can do one outfit. For literally any store. Even super high end or as low end as Wal-Mart.
Your nicest well fitting plain blue skinny jeans Those brown riding boots that everyone seems to have Fitted black t-shirt. A nice, preferably expensive looking, watch.
The reason this oh so basic outfit works is because itās chic and casual. Itās the basic āI just threw on some clothes that look nice but Iām not trying super hard todayā look. And thatās what you want. Go overkill, youāll be noticed and remembered. But how many fucking shoppers do you see daily wearing this exact outfit? 90% of the fuckers do it. Itās because itās a standard default look for a lot of women. And it works. It works REALLY WELL
Hereās my favourite way to conceal! Hope it helps! @grapefruitlifter

hey i just got a new magnet but itās not strong enough for gator tags. any tips on stronger ones? (also i know about the hair tie method but i hate it) thanks š
Gator tags are not removed with magnets. They are removed by force; a metal plate on the inside is forcefully bent to release the pin side of the tag. I just ran across a great post with video showing how to remove the tags, so Iāll add it to this post.https://shifty-lift.tumblr.com/post/169759781318/gator-tag-removal-and-everything-else-you-need-toMe personally? I donāt fuck with gator tags. I have little patience for them so theyāre just not worth my time lol.
Also? Never ever chance walking out with a security tag of any kind on an item. Gator tags still have RF sensors inside them and will set off alarms. No item is worth compromising your safety!
genius
This is a little guide I made on where the source tag is for this product.Ā
You have to unwrap the entire thing and flip the cardboard piece over to find it.

$500 in under 1 minute: Radical VS Tip
Watch this news video first: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CG78r_UE2JE
So, 8 women rushed a VS with trash bags and were able to get 6k of stuff in five minutes. I donāt want to encourage crime rings like this because it makes it harder for ALL of us. But hey, we can still learn from their techniques.
First, they were in and out SO fast!!! No manager or LP would have been able to notice them or take action in the time they were in the store. They didnāt care if they beeped because they were headed out ASAP.
For the individual lifter, you could make your own version of this scenario.
Step One: Invest in a disguise. Wear a hat like these ladies. Wear your wig, use makeup or FX to create different facial features. Do what you have to do to look different than your everyday self.
Step Two: Bring a deep bag!!!! Practice visualization before you even enter the store. Visualize you swiftly sweeping up as many panties as possible in as quick as time as possible. Donāt let customers around stop you. Remember they canāt do anything.
Step Three: Find the right mall. Visit a few. Remember this haul will be easily $500 to $1000 if done right. That is a felony!! Case a few malls until you find a VS where it is close to an exit. THIS IS GOLD. THINK ABOUT YOUR EXIT STRATEGY!!! šØšØšØ TIME HOW LONG IT TAKES to a.) walk at normal speed b)walk fast and c) walk/jog to the exit. Ideally, VS should be as close as possible to an exit. That way, you can make a clean and quick getaway.
Step Three: Park far away or cover up your plates with leaves once you arrive to the mall you faded. Enter mall of choice, walk casually to VS. By now, you should know exactly itās proximity to an exit and you should have a good sense of what kinds of goods they sell closest to the door.
Step Four: Once you can get an eye on VS, scope the front. Make sure there is no SA right out front. Make sure itās open and the nearest SA isnāt paying attention.
Step Five: action! See your goal. See the product laying out right in front of the entrance. Donāt make crazy thrashing movements, just go for what you want. Sweep it right into your deep structured purse. Go inside a little more if you see panties or other things you want. Remember, try to be in and out in a minute or less.
Step Six: You have $500-$1000 in your bag, and chances are high youāve been spotted. It will take at least another 2-3 minutes for LP or management to gear up, another 5 for mall security to get off their fast asses in persuit. By this time, youāll have already exited the premises.
Step Seven: You made it back home. Relish in the hard work, the bravery, and your profits. Know what you have done is BOLD and not a typical method. Have faith in your disguise but also know that you cannot return to that mall for at least a year. Protect yourself. B00st that shit!
Do you lift?
Whatās your lifting life?
I class myself as a thief, Iām in my mid-thirties, never been caught. I wanted to make this blog to talk about stealing and thievery.
Here are the rules Iāve lived by thus far:
1. Never steal from shops with heavy security like Primark or New Look, they are more likely to catch you and more likely to prosecute.
2. If you have large boobs you can stash small items in the changing room under your boob, which will push it up if anything, rather than leaving an odd shape on your shirt. In one lift, I was able to stuff a pack of fancy biros and an avengers action figure while looking perfectly normal.
3. Take advantage of shops without cctv. Lower-mid range chains are the most likely to save money by skipping cameras and security guards. Shops such as Home Bargains and Poundland know they will be the target of thieves and so be very careful of watching suspicious people. Other stores such as Peacocks, Starbucks or The Works will be trying to get away with having minimal staff and no cameras.
4. Donāt get greedy. Stick to small, lower cost items. Most shops wonāt bother tagging anything worth less than Ā£5.
5. Most secondhand shops have no cameras and tell their staff not to even approach shoplifters. Tag swapping is easy there, as is layering and pocketing small items.
6. Spent Ā£10 on an industrial magnet from eBay, theyāre small, portable and good for removing tags if you can get the hang on it. You can easily take a few items into the changing room and practice doing it sneakily.
7. Buy a set of lock picks and watch a few videos on YouTube. Buy practice locks from the poundshop. Why? You never know when you might get an opportunity to lift something locked behind a cheap padlock. The cheap ones require very little skill to learn how to open, and youāll recognise the cheap ones when you see them. If nothing else, youāll learn a cool party trick.
Hereās the tea on the r/shoplifting ban
You might have seen one of the posts going around about the reddit shoplifting community getting banned. There are concerns about new lifters, questions about what happened, and those wondering if our community is going to get targeted next.
I did a bit of googling on the r/shoplifting situation and if you would like to know what happened to the community the information can be found here.
Basically, reddit banned the sale of illegal goods & services like drugs, prostituion, weapons, and shoplifted goods. Related small-scale community bans were carried out, including r/shoplifting and r/stealing.
The good news is that reddit wasnāt targetting shoplifters directly, just those who were boosting to members of the community.
For the flood of new lifters who might be coming to this site, make sure you let them know about the rules on tagging, privacy, and reblogging outside the community. Also on conduct (like not stealing from small business or leaving empty packaging behind). There are a couple of good posts flying around this hellsite that are pretty good: 1, 2, 3
And for the lifters who are worried that Tumblr might target us, Iām here to put your fears to rest. While reddit shoplifting has been around 8 years and the length of a page (or our own community, which has been a thing since 2013 or 2014) is no guarantee of our safety, Iād like to hazard a guess that tumblr just doesnāt care about us. Reddit had 35,000 members in r/shoplifting, while there are about 5,000+ people in the history of this community that have interacted on shoplifting posts (based on the largest amount of notes from old posts that I have seen personally). The real community is much smaller, maybe about 1,000 lifters, and a few hundred active. I could be wrong on my estimates, but I personally would guess that the tumblr community is relatively small.
Stay as lowkey as possible. Donāt get in fights with antis, donāt use the tumblr tagging system.
I went in and read the Tumblr Community Guidelines/User Agreement and Terms of Service. I found this:
Using Tumblr to conduct illegal behavior can get you banned - this means youre using tumblr to do that illegal behavior. We conduct ourselves outside of the blogosphere, and only use tumblr to talk about hauls and tips. So already, weāre not breaking the user agreement.
Along these lines, Iād recommend you not blog or make posts about online scamming especially because that IS fraud. But if youāre not scamming or commiting fraud on this website, is there really a breach in the agreement?
If Tumblr does take action against lifting blogs (unlikely), they will target individual blogs. There will be no community-wide shutdown, because the reddit shoplifting community was on one subreddit and we have hundreds of individual blogs. I also doubt that all the users involved in r/shoplifting were deleted; just the page.
IF Tumblr does take action against those in violation of the user agreement, I doubt weād be first to go, considering the self-harm/ed blogs that promote suicide already violate multiple parts of the user agreement (2-3 sections), neo-nazi and terrorist blogs violate the user agreement (at least 2 sections), and drug blogs that show injecting or smoking of illegal substances may potentially not be breaking the user agreement but are particularly more of a blight on tumblr than shoplifting.
Tumblr also tends to ban blogs based on reports from other users, and antiās have tried to report us in droves to no avail. Antiās are also in violation of the user agreement, especially doxxing, bullying, and trying to find or spread personal information.
If you are particularly worried that we might start disappearing one by one, I recommend you mark your blog as a roleplay blog in your bio. Roleplay is not illegal, nor is it conducting illegal activity.
Futhermore, please donāt sell any of the items you are boosting through your tumblr blog. Use an app like Merc, FB, or Posh. Donāt ask other users to sell to you. Donāt participate in or hold giveaways or raffles. Donāt distribute your shoplifted goods here. While no one can prove that the goods are stolen, this is what reddit got shut down for, and this breaks the user agreement because you are conducting illegal activity through your blog. Just err on the side of caution. I know yall got big hearts and good intentions, but we should prioritize safety.
On a final note, READ THE USER AGREEMENT! Tumblr staff worded it in a way that made it really easy and enjoyable to read, like reading a YA book. Itās important to know if you are breaking rules. I also would recommend you read the Privacy Policy, and see how tumblr protects our privacy and what your rights are on here. We must be model tumblr citizens, because what we are doing is kind of frowned upon (but not rule breaking!).
Stay safe babes ā”
Very very good info here. ā¤ļø
I'm alive, I promise. Its been 20 years since I've been active here. I just needed a break from lifting bc my fuckshit brain got super bad with impulses and I wanted to slow my roll before I landed my ass in jail, so I basically had to quit (: Not that I posted hauls anyways, because I never really went out much, still don't because still no license. Hoping to get back to the swing of things. I lost my tips I saved, which sucks so now I'm basically at square one again. I know probably no one cares but yep šš» Im scared to get back into lifting since now I'm an adult (: but ayyy yolo, right? Do the kids still say that???
SHOPLIFTING DOES NOT HARM REGULAR SALES ASSOCIATES. Ya they might get yelled at but B,,,,, hot topic isnt gonna miss a couple patches. Vs isnt gonna miss a single pair of panties or a single perfume. These stores got good ass insurance for a reason.
Exactly as someone who works as a sales associate at a place that get tons of theft, it annoys me that SA come on here and lie and say it gets taken out their paychecks like honey if thatās he case you need to be suing because thatās against the law.

tips from a former dsw employee
⢠you gotta be chill. if the sa swings by (which is required of them, chat up everyone in the section) speak with them briefly, even just the niceties. ignoring them tips off.
⢠unless itās peak days (fri - sun) thereās generally only one person per section, except for clearance they usually have 2. menās shoes&athletics are usually one section. then whateverās the seasonal shoe (boots, sandals, etc). then regular stock (keds, sketchers, vans, comfy stuff) and womenās dress shoes. accessories generally are manned by anyone who happens to see someone in the section
⢠thereās generally an MOD and then another one of the managers will be floating around too.
⢠we definitely use those walkies to talk about suspicious characters.
ā¢there arenāt many cameras, but they are there. cash wrap, hall to the bathroom, and one of the clearance corners are the ones i can remember rn from my store.
⢠iāve seen a lot of people say to go to the clearance section to lift - i donāt recommend it. weāre trained to service the crap out of people back there because WE KNOW thatās where ya go!
⢠most athletic shoes are tagged, as well as our high end heels and āpromā shoes
⢠best way to lift, be the great customer. try on 4 or 5 pairs of shoes. pull the paper out try them on completely. have the boxes spread around you. when there are no other customers in the aisle & no saās, slip the pair you want into your bag. then clean everything up and put the boxes back approximately where they should be. if everything is left out, weāre gonna remember that bitch who made a massive mess.
⢠pro tip: put one of the smokescreen pairs on hold under a fake name. then you look way less suspicious.
⢠more often than not, if a column of boxes looks tidy, we donāt mess with it. closing is on a tight schedule and the stores are BIG.
⢠the saās arenāt allowed to confront you or accuse you. all we can do is call the police/mall security and try and keep you in the store.
ā¢will add more to this as iām remembering it
ahhhh finally dsw tips. thank you š
are their any managers that stay in the back to watch the cameras actively? or do they just record?
