The Orange Blossom Special

*points at username* of course i named it after a fiddle tune

It was originally a dip pen test, with a bit of gouache for the orange. I love how wobbly the lines are and how imperfect it turned out (●'◡'●) inking traditionally is so much more enjoyable than digitally.

Favorite Rise Donnie Moments/Quotes

Rise Ramblings #847

There are at least three Donnie moments that I absolutely adore.

1.

Because with 0% opacity everything is clear. I can't dude. 😩

2.

I must admit, my first few times hearing this, Donnie's phrasing choice went right over my head...

At first I thought he was saying "foul," as in, Leo's plan is not valid. But no, he's saying the word "fowl," as in, the barnyard animal.

In other words, he said:

"Go ahead Leo, count your chickens before they hatch."

...My guy, why did you say it like that?! 😩😂

3.

The third scene I love with Donnie is not just one scene, but every time he's genuinely happy, or even worse, sincerely laughs (which is very rare!)

Even though here he's being a little stinker to Raphie 😠, hearing Donnie's laugh brings me so much joy.

Honorable Mention:

• Every time he uses his "singing" voice in regular speech.

Most often it's the word "Yes" with full vocal vibrato, like an opera singer. Yet, he hardly ever actually sings when given the chance. Instead, when he decides to make a song it's usually a "rap."

This guy sure is an enigma. 🤔
