I'm so glad that I'm a lesbian, I've said it before but it's such a beautiful thing that makes me so happy. I don't talk about my personal stuff on here a lot, but I genuinely had a near-mental-breakdown when I realized I was a lesbian a couple years ago- realizing I was only attracted to women seemed like the end of the world to me. I didn't think it was possible for me to have a future where I didn't have to end up with a man, especially being in a very religious setting. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self that being a lesbian is a good and beautiful thing, and it's actually going to make me unbelievably happy. Knowing now that I can have a life without being in a relationship with a man and that I can love women brings me so much joy, and being connected to such a strong community and history feels so beautiful. I'm glad I'm a lesbian, I wouldn't change it for anything.
