It is very important to me that #myshane, when he’s still playing for montreal, will have a stretch of time that he’s just really off his game for no discernible reason. And after one particularly shitty game, someone—either a reporter or a WAG or just somebody—will jokingly say to him something along the lines of “must be off your game because mercury’s in retrograde”. And #myshane will be like, wait what? what are you talking about? and then, because there is something out there hindering his hockey performance, he’ll try and get to the bottom of it and then it just spirals and all of a sudden he’s putting crystals in the locker room to ward off negative energies and he’s adjusting his game depending on the placements of all the planets. He’s trying to power up his third eye chakra to give him an edge on the ice and becoming even more of a monster on the ice than he already is. He’ll be back on his game, absolutely crushing it in never before seen ways, and when someone asks about it he just responds something like:

I knew I could push myself harder than usual, what with the moon waxing and all.

And everyone is just So. Confused.
