“My only relief is to sleep. When I’m sleeping, I’m not sad, I’m not angry, I’m not lonely, I’m nothing.”
— Jillian Medoff, Hunger Point.

also, if someone is NOT already vetted, whats a good way to submit names/users for vetting?
found the masterpost. if you're choosing a gaza fundraiser today, i recommend mahmoud bardawil. his family was martyred and he needs medical treatment outside gaza. he has not received a lot of funds or attention, but he HAS been vetted.

autism is an insane condition because i spent all day feeling like dogshit and then i shut my windows and door and immediately felt like 95% better because it was quiet and dark. like WHAT
So many doctors never learned to say "I don't know"
Instead they say:
Some version of "It's not real": "It's all in your head," "Are you sure that's what's actually happening?", "Maybe you're just looking for attention?"
Or, some version of "It's your fault": "You just need to lose some weight/be more active/eat better/etc.", "It's just because you're stressed out."
In summary, doctors whose egos can't handle not knowing everything either invalidate what you're feeling in your own body or else they blame you for it. And the results can be traumatizing. "I don't know" should be a part of everyone's vocabulary!

the secret to life is always having something to look forward to
to anyone saying there's nothing to look forward to, I'm not saying it has to be anything spectacular or huge. it could just be a song or a book that will release in a few days, a tv show, anything!! no matter how small it seems it can keep us going
This is for the support of Gaza's Municipality Services - which help ensure clean drinking water, waste collection, debri removal and sanitation services - life saving services to run a state - reader I imagine wherever you are or how lacking the municipality services in your city is, it's not worse than Ghazza.
Currently it's only at 11% - please donate -

Any other late-diagnosed autistics out there go through a stage of being ABSOLUTELY ENRAGED about having been treated horribly their whole lives for having what's turned out to be a medical condition? Because I now want to fight my entire family of origin, a bunch of doctors, several professors, many former "friends," and my ex.
I wasn't lying. I wasn't exaggerating. I wasn't a shitty person. I was and am and always will be autistic. And I deserve to live.
Yep. <waves>
Also the issue of when you figure out you're autistic and suddenly people are willing to accommodate you because now you have a name for it, and you're like "why couldn't you have done this when I was a kid, I'm literally still the same person with the same issues."
“Autistic people need special accommodations” and “autistic people should not be infantilized and talked down to” are schools of though that can and should co-exist.
reminder that donating just a few $ to gofundme campaigns actually helps, you don't have to donate huge amounts if you don't have the funds, every little bit is useful. give $10, $5, even $1. it all adds up. don't scroll past because you think you can't help. help in your own capacity. donate a dollar. share and speak up.
here are a few gofundme links that still need a lot of help
Ahmed Iyd and family (£706/£150,000)
Ola Madi (€1,273/€40,000)
Hussein Shamiya, his pregnant wife, and their 4 year old son ($12,163/$40,000)
Al Maghari family (£1,933/£74,000)
Haya and family (€3,573/€60,000)
Dr. Wael Eldahdouh's family (€3,652/€110,000)
Dr. Mohammed Alshaer and family (€3,662/€18,000)
Laila Abd El Bari, her husband, and unborn baby Sham (€3,314/€25,000)
Maram Ahmed and family (€3,255/€30,000)
7-year old diabetic Feryal, and family (€673/€30,000)
9-year-old Sarah and little brother Adam (€2,460/€22,500)
If everyone who reblogs this post donates $5 (which I now know is the minimum you can donate on gofundme) to at least one of these, think about how fast we can help them all reach their respective goals
Since I made this post less than 24 hours ago we've collectively raised over $2000, and a lot of those donations were in the amount of $5-10. Keep sharing and keep donating. There is strength in numbers, and if those in power won't help we still have to do what we can. Small numbers add up. Thank you all for doing what you can. It does make a difference.

I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure purple haired protestors got out safe. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.
What to boycott NOW to help stop Israel’s unfolding genocide of Palestinians in Gaza
We call on our supporters to strengthen our targeted boycott and divestment campaigns to maximize our impact!
Reminder that boycotting DOES work, there is historic proof! Don't let anyone discourage you otherwise!
The BDS movement uses the historically successful method of targeted boycotts inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the US Civil Rights movement, the Indian anti-colonial struggle, among others worldwide.
We must strategically focus on a relatively smaller number of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact. Companies that play a clear and direct role in Israel’s crimes and where there is real potential for winning, as was the case with, among others, G4S, Veolia, Orange, Ben & Jerry’s and Pillsbury. Compelling such huge, complicit companies, through strategic and context-sensitive boycott and divestment campaigns, to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid and war crimes against Palestinians sends a very powerful message to hundreds of other complicit companies that “your time will come, so get out before it’s too late!”
Please reblog! Spread this! There is an effort by zionists to discourage people from boycotting! Don't let them trample your spirits and help us in the fight for a liberated Palestine!
Boycott! Boycott! Boycott! 🇵🇸
