At what would have been 40 weeks, I'm happy to announce that my and @imhavinganotherbaby 's twins are finally here!! 🥰👶👶
On Wednesday January 21st, at 39 weeks and 4 days, I gave birth to two healthy baby girls!
Rory was born at 4:45 PM, a whopping 11 pounds even and her sister, Caley was born at 8:40 PM, also 11 pounds. Both girls were about 19 inches long.
The contractions started pretty slowly so I thought they were just strong Braxton Hicks contractions but they were fairly regular. Sure enough they were the real thing.
I had dilated pretty quickly but I had to have my water broken. After that I didn't feel much pressure laying down so I had to push little Rory out while standing because her head was so big and let gravity help. I pushed for several hours just to get her to a full crown. It was the most difficult crowning I've had. Once her head was out the rest of her came pretty naturally. Caley was a similar situation but she came out within a few hours of pushing.
My midwifes and birth coaches, @gardenhedge19 and @kaix1, were a big help and super supportive. I couldn't have given birth to these big girls without all their help and support.
Thank you to all who joined me on this journey once again and followed my pregnancy. I love sharing my progress with everyone and showing off my bump and the changes to my body that come with pregnancy. Here's to the next, and newest, step in this journey- breastfeeding. 🍒💦🍼👶👶
