I’m on the fringes of rdrtwt but there’s a person that keeps calling John a predator for his early relationship with Abigail and 1) 21 and 17 was an extremely normal age gap for 1895 and 2) Dutch deadass admits to having sex with her in the first game. I’m going to say her trauma from being a teenaged prostitute probably came from the men who were pushing 40 at least who were raping her. John’s main sin was abandonment, their relationship was completely socially acceptable and would not have traumatized her.

i stopped giving a shit about "legit" purchases of digital products after i spent $80 on the entire Dark Horse collection of Trigun/Trigun Maximum ebook mangas, learning that I only got access to reading them through a proprietary website ereader function, couldn't download them, and couldn't get a refund, and then literally only a year later, getting an e-mail stating that Dark Horse was shutting down that part of their company and I wouldn't even be able to read them anymore. as a child i visited an abandoned military fort and became convinced a demon lived there. he had a name and i drew pictures of him incessantly and i made notes about him but i thought he was a sort of info hazard i.e. that he could only harm you if you knew about him so i wrote my notes reflected backwards so you’d have to hold them up to a mirror to read them. i had a chant i considered a protective charm against him. in retrospect these were all Creepy Child In A Horror Movie things to do but what i really want to say is that I’d like to have sex in that fort.
