@buge
by disagreeing with me on this topic, you're aligning yourself with everyone else who disagrees with me, which includes the Chaos Death Cult, and they chaos kill people so....
we dont chaos kill that many people.
Well If You Say It's Not That Many
trying to get the funny medieval peasants to try my future dorito and accidentally stumbling onto the communal fencepost hosting one of many rural german cat-mutilating games that will later be a wedge in relations between the urban and agricultural communities, shocking me into a months-long silence
getting served what can only be described as "mold from a random log of fallen wood floating in a stein of watered-down beer" as a gift in return for the doritos and getting an experience that can only be described as "Protestant Ayahuasca"
going south to seek some sort of normalcy which I might disrupt, where in the refuge I am served something which dripped from a statue. I ask what it is. it's from the bones inside, I am told, and it leaks forever, and it brings an ecstatic state
drinking this and getting hit with an experience that can only be described as "counter-reformation fentanyl overdose"
the problem with employment is it gives you money to purchase video games but it takes away your time to play video games. Mao spoke of this
The idea of there being a correct dose of a drug called “Shulgin’s Behemoth” just feels somewhat implausible really
That's right
billie eilish is dressing like a bad guy thug at a mahjong game in a kung fu movie
"Let the Gweilo play. He has nothing left to lose."
what the hell
named mcdilda??
obsessed with this guys understanding of how an atomic bomb works
The funny thing is, is that he must've paid enough attention either in school or reading newspapers to like, remember that atom has positively and negatively charged particles inside of it (protons and electrons).
not now thrall there’s a hurricane
adhd solidarity in unexpected places
Man why is it so hard for someone to get an ingot in this modern society. I should be practically tripping over these things
fuck, man, the fog's been trying to contact me all day. I just turned my phone on and it says I've had a bunch of mist calls
Never getting over Charlie Kirk getting shot in the throat right after he uses it to downplay gun violence. Gotta be a top 3 assassination. Up there with Shinzo getting doohickey'd.
It's on some straight up Greek play shit. Man who uses his voice to justify violence and stir evil for years meets his end as that very violence tears out his throat. Poetic. Captured live from multiple angles. People stole his blood soaked merch to hock and his wife was giddy about sale numbers during his funeral.
My favorite joke in Metalocalypse is how as the show goes on it becomes increasingly obvious they’re naming characters with the sole purpose of torturing Mark Hamill.
It’s been almost two years since I posted this but here’s a list of the official spelling of every character he introduces here:
Dr. Gibbitz
Dr. Amon Skagerakk Fredrickshaven
Dr. Donald Gorthian
Ronald Von Momnaldberg
Dr. Natasha Nesciantskidovich
Vicenzo de Alimamala Corningston III
Professor Jerry Gustav Mangledink
Horace Marmingblat Wimplestein, Jr.
Dr. Chazz Fazzledopenhoffer
Vater Oorlag
Dr. Milminaman-lanilim-swinwamly
Dr. Gibbitz again (but for some reason it’s spelled “Gibbetz” in the season 2 subtitles)
Melmord Fjordslorn
Dr. Ralphus Galkinsmelter
Dr. Amomolith Chesterfield
Wilmore Unduntingiminen
Dr. Ninmiltrid Fmiltindryden
Dr. Imptnin Pmiltson
Dr. Tormindbind Mickmildididindnin
Dr. Krumpworth Chponglasia IV, Jr.
Dr. Borgermu Barret Swingdworth
Dr. Richard Reinhold Rnawighiwowpj
Captain Slufgyflaysid
Dr. Bartholomew Grahsrihajul
Dr. Alsajahb Fifborgiltk
Dr. Fsmilejera Irlelwoll
Dr. Commander Vernmim Chuntspinkton
Like I just love how you can pinpoint “Ninmiltrid Fmiltindryden” as the exact moment the joke went from making Mark Hamill say funny but still vaguely name-shaped words to forcing that poor man to pronounce straight up keysmashes out loud.
"You can say that [orangutans] are not dependent on social support and approval, and if you admire this in them, that an orang is irredeemably his own person, 'the most poetic of the apes', researcher Lynn Miles told me once in an unguarded moments. What she had in mind was the difference between orangs and chimps in the way they carry on their discourse with the world.
Chimps are much admired for their tool use and for their problem-solving relationship with things as they find them...the orang is, let us say, not so replete with enterprise. Give an orangutan the hexagonal peg and the several shapes of hole, and then hide behind the two-way mirror and watch how he engages with the problem.
And watch and watch and watch--because he does not engage with the problem. He uses the peg to scratch his back, has a look-see at his right wrist, makes a half-hearted and soon abandoned attempt to use his fur as a macramé project, stares dreamily out the window if there is one and at nothing in particular if not, and the sun begins to set. (The sun will also set if you are observing a chimp, but the chimp is more amusing, so you are less likely to mark the moment in your notes. An orang observer has plenty of time to be a student of the vanities of sunset.)
You watch, and the orang dreams...when casually and as if thinking of something else, the orang slips the hexagonal peg into the hexagonal hole. And continues staring off dreamily."
Vicki Hearne, "The Case of the Disobedient Orangutans"
