I’m going to make this quick but this is post about my honest opinion on Glitch Productions and Gooseworx (I am not harassing anyone and I do not condone anyone doing so)
This post is a bit different from my usual ones so I’m going to make this as short and sweet as possible. I am going to be taking a break/distancing myself away from Glitch productions and the amazing digital circus fandom. I have learned a lot of things about the creator Gooseworx and Glitch productions that I cannot support but I will try to explain. Also, I do not have any evidence for these things however I have seen other posts mentioning Gooseworx and glitch being critical so if you want more information with better evidence please check those posts out.
Also, a quick warning before reading, I will be diving into topics of racism, pedophilia, misogyny and an incredibly disgusting person known as Shadman who is known for drawing pornography of little girls.
First I’m going to start out talking about Gooseworx
• In a lot of Gooseworx’s old posts she says a lot of misogynistic things about women
• When Gooseworx was in her mid 20’s she was talking to a seventeen year old about NSFW topics
• Gooseworx used a song called “Isn’t She Lovely”, written by Stevie Wonder, a black man who made the song to celebrate his fatherhood and his love for his daughter, and Gooseworx had JobbytheHong, someone who supports Shadman, a disgusting artist who has been known for drawing pornographic cartoons and was arrested for assault, sing the song
This generally disgusts me considering that I’ve been in The Amazing Digital Circus fandom since the pilot came out. I’ve learned to love and enjoy the show and the content other artists have made throughout the years. Finding this stuff out felt like a punch to the gut. I generally couldn’t sleep last night simply because I felt like a horrible person for supporting Gooseworx for all these years. I have made fanart. I’ve liked and followed other people who made fanart. I’ve bought merge. I talked my own family into watching the show. I wanted to make my own indie show simply because of Gooseworx. But I really just can’t support her anymore. I hate pedophilia. I hate pedophiles. I hate racists. I hate misogyny. I’ve also noticed that a lot of people who have mentioned the amazing digital circus being critical are POC. Yes, I know that they’re some people who are POC, who do enjoy the amazing digital circus, and I respect that. But a vast majority of people who do criticize the amazing digital circus are POC, and I have read and understood their opinions and criticisms completely.
I also want to add on that I am not blaming or upset with anyone who does enjoy the amazing digital circus. A lot of people that I have interacted with or have followed who like the amazing digital circus are genuinely amazing people. But I don’t think I can support Gooseworx anymore. I’m probably going to take down some of my posts that have to do with the amazing digital circus as well.
Now onto Glitch. I have watched Glitches other shows and generally loved them. I believed that they were incredible and that Glitch was an amazing production that would pave the way for indie artists. But I’ve recently found out some things about Glitch that I can’t really support anymore. Here are some things Glitch has done (again I do not have evidence, please check other Glitch critical posts for better information, explanation, evidence)
• There is a website known as Glassdoor, where people can share information about their workplace community, companies, share salary information and more. A lot of people on Glassdoor have mentioned that there is misogyny and unrealistic expectations for artists and staff, some going so far that people will literally go to work while feeling incredibly unwell/sick.
As someone who wants to possibly make their own indie show or learn how to animate in the animation industry, this just really hurts me. Glitch productions wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for their artists and staff and Glitch is just putting them through hell, especially women. Yes, obviously not everything is wrong with Glitch productions. There are some people who mentioned how they loved working with people in Glitch productions but we should still keep in mind the problems in Glitch and hope that they will change how they treat their employees and workers.
Now, before I end this post I have one last thing to say.

That is all. I don’t know if Glitch is ever going to fix how they treat their artists and employees, but I will keep an open mind about Glitch and their other shows. I may or may not make fanart about some of their other shows that aren’t as controversial, like Knights of Guinevere, Gaslight District, or Gameoverse. I would like to possibly continue making SMG4 fanart or content but even SMG4 is really controversial (SMG4 is unfortunately known for using the n word a lot in their older videos, but the creator Luke moved away from using that edgy “humor”). I don’t really know what I’m going to do since I’m a bit lost, but I want to continue to make art for myself and others and will focus on other passions that are unrelated to Glitch or tadc, like my own characters for example. I will also possibly make posts everyday recommending other indie projects that deserve more love as well.

Edit: I’m deciding to not only delete my posts related to the amazing digital circus, but also anything related to glitch or smg4 in general. I apologize if you are someone who has been following me for awhile and has enjoyed my content of tadc or smg4 (since those are the only glitch shows that I have posted about) but truthfully I just don’t want to watch or make content of a show if it’s only going to be filled with drama, controversy, and terrible people running the show. This is just my way of starting over and healing. I hope you can still enjoy the content and art I make.
