Of course, you have heard and read the famous quote that seems to be even more popular today “Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History.” What a lot of hooey first off the quote needs to be in the perspective of today's way of thinking. A student who earned her Ph.D. In history wrote on this subject, and it is her quote.
The intention was to write about the lives of ordinary women who were considered well-behaved, or "vertuous", the old way of spelling this word, (an alternate spelling of virtuous). In the paper she wrote the quote was written as “seldom” not "rarely" are well-behaved women, not how it is used today. It would be safe to say that the real men today want real authentic ladies, yes arm hangers are fun but not for long-term relationships.

Let me start by saying that my love for this phenomenal woman who left us a copious amount of her work is ongoing. Maya Angelou was one of my earliest mentors and a blessing in my life. What she shared with millions are now yours for a lifetime. The quote " When You Know Better You Do Better " written in my blog is my opinion and might throw you for a loop.
The quote being “When you know better you do better”. It reads well and comes with truth attached but for many it does not sink in why? Those who truly want more different and better, and those who wish to rise to all that is the best within themselves, see the quote as gospel. When Did Fashionable Equate To Being Stylish?
What is being shared with you will blow your mind because the reality of it for most people is confusing and, the two words together are mistake one for the other. Fashion and Style. Materialism and status seem to have overtaken the way this generation perceives fashion and it appears the majority simply are ignoring what true style means.
Here are the facts my friend, one can work towards being fashionable, but having style is innate. Fashion and style are words and neither are bound to each others. Fashion is forever changing, and it is disposable, but most importantly fashion is dictated by few and followed by the masses.
How about this fact, it is always the stylish who influence the fashionable. Style is personal and timeless. Style does evolve, develop and change over time, but its essence remains consistent to the individual and her personal style identity, which is innate to her lifestyle. A popular and lasting French designer that most will know of “Yves Saint Laurent” said – “FASHIONS FADE, STYLE IS ETERNAL.”

What Does Our American Class System Mean? Is It Still Prevalent Today?
My question to you, does this class system mean anything to you and if it does why? In today's social, economic structure more than ever it appears to me that it is becoming much more prevalent, and not for the good. The question remains how much success does one want in life and how much are they willing to work for financial independence and freedom. It seems to be forever at the forefront of where do you wish to stand in the system.
Let's start, it seems somewhat old fashion but when you see the popularity of certain TV shows like Downtown Abby it bring it home how it still resonates today. The Upper Class being the hierarchy, the people who are considered to have a great deal of income and or wealth. Other factors are a big part of this like the importance and difference between income and wealth. These two are a big part in determining social status.

How Do You Define A "Classy" Lady? What Is It To You and Why?
What does classy mean to you and is it important to you in today's society? It seems that being called a classy woman is still the ultimate compliment to the majority of women. How many do men say in their dating profiles that they are looking for a classy woman? The question remains what does classy mean?
When you define the word it will always come back to “Elegant”, “Stylish”, and a woman who has a high standard and personal behavior, not crude or dirty. You have many way to add and detract from this meaning, but the seed of what a classy woman is at the core is in the explanation above.
Why the big debatable concerns are within this word today would be because a lot of women who are sharp dresser and fashionable are far from being a classy lady. A woman might have all the latest fashions, but her language is full of profanities and if she talks too much. A woman who is loud and constantly draws attention to herself; you will not label her classy because it will not be a part of her demeanor.
