There is no shore in sight And some days I realize it would be easier to drown. It would be easier to let go. But I know If I keep kicking I will have a fighting chance at finding land, At finding life. My heart beats out my chest And I can’t breathe as this water fills my nose. I don’t know where you’ve been swimming, Or what pools support your feet on their concrete ground, But my love fills oceans I trust in an abstract depth, hopelessly beyond my reach.
