Before you speak, ask yourself: is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?

I had an interview today and I totally rocked this question:
Interviewer: How would you explain DNA to an 8 year old?
Me: I would tell them that DNA is like Legos. Like four different colored legos. Individually, they can't do much, but when you build them in a certain order, you can make different things, like a house or a tree or little lego people. It's the same in your body. Four different DNA molecules fit together to create the unique you.
Interviewer: *brief pause* That's a really good answer.
Me: Thank you. I like Legos and science.
Make a list of things that make you happy. Make a list of the things you do everyday. Compare the lists. Adjust accordingly.

Just a little reminder that youāre doing fine! Try not to compare yourself against everyone else.

FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT you are allowed to feel proud of yourself for things that might seem silly to other people, like getting better at a video game or putting together a nice outfit for the next morning or finishing a book. You deserve to feel proud for your accomplishment.

tips for handing in resumes
ok i see a lot of people here are trying to get summer jobs and stuff and i worked in retail for a year so Iāve overheard management talking about resumes and stuff a lot
Put your references on your resume. Donāt put down āreferences available upon request
ALWAYS ask for the manager in charge of hiring to give your resume to. Dont give it to the first employee you see. If the hiring manager isnāt in you could give it to another manager but the best thing to do is ask when theyll be in next and come back then
When you meet the manager, shake their hand firmly and introduce yourself first
Go into the place youāre applying to by yourself. Donāt bring a friend in with you
If youāre handing out resumes to a bunch of places then keep them in a bookbag or something. Take one out before going in the store
Donāt do your grocery shopping/errands before going in. You look stupid trying to pass in a resume while holding a bag with milk and bread in it
Donāt put your call of duty K/D ratio on your resume (seriously, someone did this)
If employees there try to talk to you, donāt ignore them or be rude. If you do, they will most likely tell the manager after you leave
This is getting out of control. (photos via imgur)
On respect.
