People really underestimate this relationship and favor Katara’s grief over Aang so much that we never really get to see fan art of her and her brother. Today I found a video in which a person was criticising artwork from some Deviantart artists, specifically picking out the bad examples. I am not sure if I could have come this far if I had heard such harsh words of criticism that that person was using as a form of entertainment and commentary. Maybe I would have stopped all together before I could become better. But now that I’ve come a long way I can look back and calmly look at my past mistakes because they were a part of my path.
I am ashamed to admit that I never did any redraws of older art in the past. So the only way to look back at my process is to look at a character that I drew again and again over the years. I get nostalgic when I look at all the gathered drawings because they also reflect periods of my life. Sometimes I can even remember exactly what was going on around me when I did one or another drawing, which I usually don’t do.
So! I’m hoping for more progress in the future and thank you for all the kind words that I’ve received in the past. =) For the future, I hope that beginners and struggling artists will receive the same love and support that helped me to grow and get better. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و

Curvy ladies: Men’s dress pants have more room in the butt. I don’t know why, I only know that all my dress pants for work are off the rack in the men’s department in Target. Literally nobody has noticed, except a couple of my younger coworkers who’ve asked me–you guessed it–”oh my god, where did you find pants with pockets?”
Tall ladies: men’s pants are easier to find in longer lengths than women’s pants are.
Trans ladies: Wanna get on this gravy train, but afraid people will misgender you for wearing clothes off the men’s racks? Step one: tell me who these people are and I will punch them in the face. Step two: if it doesn’t make you dysphoric, please don’t feel obligated to wear pants off the women’s racks if pants off the men’s racks are more comfy/useful to you. I’m a cis woman who’s been wearing pants from the boys’ section and, later, the men’s section, ever since I hit puberty and in thirteen years maybe, maybe half a dozen people have noticed. And it’s always women asking the oh-my-god-pockets question. You’re all good. <3
Fat ladies: you will pay the same for a pair of 42x32 jeans as for a pair of 34x32 jeans, instead of having to pay some kind of Fat Penance Tax by way of being in the “plus size” section. Also, did I mention more room in the butt?
Ladies concerned about modesty: For obvious reasons, there is more crotch space in men’s pants. Embrace it and enjoy a life free from cameltoe worries and spontaneous labia-wedgies when you squat down.
All ladies: I swear to god the waists in women’s pants these days are made specifically to fit exactly nobody so that no matter what you do, your underwear will show. Men’s pants do not do this. The waists sit where they’re supposed to and will actually lay flat against the small of your back instead of flopping open to show your unmentionables to the world. If you want hiphugger jeans, buy one leg-length too small and one waist-size too large and let them hang, and they still won’t accidentally show your undies. Men’s pants will last longer. They cost less, in a lot of cases. Embrace the men’s jeans. Buy the men’s jeans. Stop buying shitty flimsy women’s jeans that wear out in six months.
AND FINALLY: to determine your size in men’s pants, take a tape measure around your waist at its smallest point. This is your waist size and will be the first number in a pair of men’s pants. Next, take the tape measure from about an inch below your no-no squares parts, and run it to your ankle. (You may need a friend or parent to help with this.) This is your inseam length, and will be the second number on a pair of men’s pants. Men’s and boys’ pants are tailored the same way, so if you have trouble finding your waist size in men’s, hop over to the boys’ section. Feel no shame. If they’d give us decent fucking pants we wouldn’t have to steal theirs, right?
Listen you guys, I am SO MAD ABOUT THIS. I’ve seen this first post before, and recently my mom said, “Hey, did you see that post on Tumblr about shopping for jeans in the men’s department?”
And I said yeah, I’d seen it, I’ve been through the Trying To Fit Clothes On My Stupid Body wars, and this post really only applied to skinny jeans because they’re so stretchy. It couldn’t possibly work for regular jeans! I have TRIED SO MANY TIMES. I’ve always shopped in the men’s department because women’s clothes are like 90% bullshit and 10% fake pockets.
But I hadn’t seen the second addition, which gave me more hope, and I decided to just try on a few pairs when I was at Old Navy the other day. They have some “classic” jeans with no give to them at all, which is what I was trying on years ago that convinced me it just wasn’t possible. (Jeans in my price range didn’t really come with any form of stretch back then, as I recall. Textile technology is bad-ass.) But these days they mostly have “flex” jeans that have some give to them. (Women’s jeans are usually labeled “stretch” but apparently men’s have to be “flex” like they need stretchy garments so their HUGE MUSCLES don’t just TEAR THEIR CLOTHES!)
This was totally an impulse decision so I couldn’t measure myself, but I grabbed a few sizes based on what I vaguely thought my measurements probably were and decided it couldn’t possibly be worse than the endless cycle of regret, dissatisfaction, and recrimination that is trying on women’s clothing.
The first pair I tried on fit like a DREAM. I’ve been gaining weight lately which is a whole separate nightmare (mainly centered around “but I don’t WANT to buy new bras, this is bullshit!”) and the reason I need to buy new jeans because nothing freaking fits me, and I was sure these wouldn’t either, but DAMN. They’re the best pair of jeans I own. Twice as thick, pockets twice as big, legs nice and loose (they don’t even sell women’s jeans with a cut remotely similar to this), and contrary to my super dumb opinion from before this experience, they’ve got my plenty of room for all my womanly curvey bits. AND because they’re actually a relaxed fit instead of trying to cling to every inch of me, they don’t show my weight nearly as much as my women’s jeans do, they’re easier to move in, they’re not constantly inching down my hips with every move I make, and overall they just make me feel GOOD about how I look which is a strange new sensation I could definitely get used to.
It’s like a miracle. I want to cry both out of joy and because of all the shitty jeans now filling my closet when I could have been buying comfortable, relaxed, pocket-having men’s jeans all these years. Many blessings to the posters above, may your crops grow and your cows give milk and your jeans hold all the gadgets you desire.
Also: men’s pants have constant sizes that are based off of actual measurements instead of the women’s whatever-the-company-wants-to-make-the-size sizes. They’re far more reliable and your size will translate to other brands.

Athletic cut jeans have more room in the butt. I repeat. Athletic cut jeans have more room in the butt. You don’t need to go to the dress pants to fit your lovely curvy self in there. Go to the regular section or big and tall if you’re a bit taller and/or wider, and there’ll be a little section of athletic style jeans. They’ve still got the giant blessed pockets and the room in the crotch and if you’re really curvy with a large bone structure like I am you can get yourself some quality pants.

PREGNANCY MEME:
a) Reylo
Reaction: First Rey would be very surprised. She was always thinking about finding her family but starting a family on her own? That thought has never crossed her mind. However, after the first shock she would be nothing but happy. After all, family has always been her biggest dream. On the other hand, Kylo Ren would panic. He doesn’t believe that he can be a good father, especially after what he did to his parents.
1 month: The force is strong and Rey can sense it. Probably it’s only her imagination but Rey feels as if waves of power were accumulating inside of her, recognizing her own force. Kylo Ren spends the first month worrying more than it’s necessary.
Food cravings: Yes, all the time! There are so many things Rey has never eaten and now, when she’s pregnant, she feels the urge to try all new tastes. Fruits, meat, spicy food. Something which looks like a watermelon served together with chilli pepper. Kylo Ren feels a little sick as he watches what Rey eats, however he does what he can to bring her everything she orders. Rey never fails to ask.
Mood swings: It irritates Rey so much… She is working as usual and then, suddenly and without any clear reason, she thinks about her family. It makes her remember loneliness, the feeling of abandonment. Tears just can’t stop falling. First Kylo Ren wants to help her but soon he realizes that Rey is only ashamed when someone sees her weakness so he pretends to not see unless she comes to him herself.
Sonogram: Rey tries really hard to act cool but finally she covers mouth with her hand to hide her laugh and emotions. Kylo Ren looks like a person who found himself in the room by accident… He looks blankly at the screen, finally realizing that he is a father.
Baby kicking: Both parents are extremely proud. Rey commends how their child is going to be a strong warrior while Kylo Ren is already planning the training sessions.
Water broke: I imagine Rey acting rather calmly. Sure, she is nervous, who wouldn’t be? But she has survived more extreme situations. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren gives orders to his people and plans everything. He feels better when he can at least pretend that he’s controlling everything.
At the hospital: Rey would be probably one of those mothers who decides to be silent during the labor because screaming is stupid. So yeah, she’s a soldier, she can handle it. Kylo Ren would walk through the corridor and after every Rey’s groan terrorize poor medical robots… He still needs to work on his temper.
Its a…: girl~
Name: Luce (in the universe full of made-up languages, the Skywalker family seems to prefer simple and traditional names. Luce sounds well with Luke and Leia, being short and starting with “L”, plus Rey’s name comes from sun rays and Luce means “light”. I think it’s quite suitable?)
Parents reaction: Rey would be very tired and very happy, and Kylo Ren wouldn’t know how to react - should he be soft? Play the general? Finally, he screams at his people, telling them to leave, and takes daughter in his arms.
b) Idatsu
Reaction: I think Tatsumiya would feel very insecure, what can be a little surprising in her situation. However, she has raised Wadanohara like her own child, she’s already felt like a mother and didn’t plan more children. After some time she comes to the conclusion that Lord Meikai wouldn’t be happy if he saw her living only with the memories of the past, he would like to see her finding her own happiness. It makes her a bit calmer. When it comes to Idate… first he assumes that Tatsumiya is joking. Then, when he realizes that Tatsumiya never jokes like that, he goes hunt (for Samekichi) to organize his thoughts. Idate was never good at being responsible…
1 month: Tatsumiya doesn’t waste her time. As soon as she realizes that she is expecting an egg she starts to arrange the baby room, thinks about the names etc. She also refuses to quit her castle responsibilities. On the other hand, we know that Idate’s relatives are very family-oriented. I think it’s funny to imagine his brother, sister-in-law and niece coming to the Blue Sea to meet Tatsumiya, so Idate is forced to attend boring family meetings. Ah, Idate is also forced to quit smoking (that means, smoking far from the castle and trying to hide it from Tatsumiya)
Food cravings: Tatsumiya does everything with grace. She usually doesn’t ask for any specific food but when she does, she demands it very openly. Even if she smiles, Idate decides that it’s better to follow her orders. Well-behaved women are scary when mad.
Mood swings: Usually Tatsumiya is so calm and silent that when he raises her voice, everyone is shocked. She tries to control herself and apologizes every time something like that happens… however Idate knows. Well-behaved women are scary when mad.
Sonogram: I think it would be a very sublime moment for Tatsumiya. She would probably cry a little, say how happy she is. Idate would observe effects of the spell with interest and try to guess whether it is a boy or a girl. Then he would add that his kid is going to be strong and he can’t wait to teach them how to… play with food. Tatsumiya is not pleased.
Baby kicking: When Tatsumiya notices moves on the other side of the shell she is really moved. She would smile and talk to the egg about their sea and the beautiful world they are soon going to see… Idate also talks to the egg. For example, when he feels the kicks he says that soon he will show his child how to kick sharks… Yes, Tatsumiya is not pleased.
Water broke Egg hatching: As every tough man, Idate would be useless. We know that he can panic pretty easily, for example when he doesn’t have cigarettes, so I believe he would act confident until first scratches appear on the egg. He then tells Tatsumiya that she should take care of the rest and rushes to smoke… But Tatsumiya is a very serious woman, she knows what to do.
At the hospital: I imagine that stereotypical picture with a room for nervous smoking fathers. There’s so much smoke that it’s hard to see Idate’s face… Also, Wadanohara runs to the palace to help Tatsumiya and asks Samekichi to keep Idate company. Poor shark.
Its a…: boy
Name: Tasuku (first, it shares the first syllable with Tatsumiya’s name, two, Tasuku would be written as “to save”/”to rescue”, which is pretty suitable considering that Idate met Tatsumiya when he helped her fight Old)
Parents reaction: Tatsumiya is very happy, she can’t stop smiling. Idate is proud too. He wants to take his son but Samekichi screams that he shouldn’t be allowed near children.
