Here's a sneak peek of michael pining and coping with a side of madwheeler frenemies:
Max and Jane are already making plans for the trip itinerary, talking a mile a minute and bouncing ideas off of Will. Max mentions a place called Lakeview, demanding he take her there, while Jane seems largely interested in trying deep dish pizza and finding out exactly what Broadway is.
"I’ll see what I can do,” Will acquiesces. “What about you, Mike? Anything in particular you wanna see?"
Just you, Mike doesn’t say, because is it really necessary? Of course his main reason for going to Chicago is to see his best friend. Hell, they could not set foot out of Will’s apartment the entire time and he would probably still have a blast.
“I’m just happy to hang out,” is what he settles for, subconsciously chewing on his thumbnail.
“Boo!” Max jeers, hands around her mouth to amplify her disapproval. “Form an opinion on something for once!”
Mike sees the opportunity and seizes it before his brain can caution him against it.
“Okay, how’s this for an opinion: You are being a giant b—“
“Alright!” Will exclaims suddenly, a frantic edge to his voice. “Glad that’s sorted! I think I’m gonna go now before I become a witness to murder.”
“Nobody’s getting murdered,” Max scoffs. Mike is tempted to coo something along the lines of aw, you really do care until she tacks on, “I’m not doing jail time for Wheeler.”
Scratch that. She’s getting flat Dr. Pepper from him for the rest of the year.
