it's voluntary in the sense that I want to do it, so I do it..?
The longer and longer the transandrobro movement goes on for the more and more obvious it is that the people these guys are l angry at are exclusively trans women, and the excuse is always exclusively “because they wouldn’t let me misogynistic to them without consequence”.
sometimes there’s an unspoken (sometimes spoken, even) “like a cis guy would be allowed to” at the end. ultimately, these guys are angry that we are not allowing them to their place above women that they feel entitled to.
the amount of transmascs i have heard openly say that being criticised for misogyny gives them dysphoria, that not being able to control women’s bodies gives them dysphoria — because they have (perhaps correctly, even) identified that part of the societal baggage of “manhood” is “asserting dominance over women”. this is where the whole “please put your boobs away, I have dysphoria” thing comes from; men feel entitled to tell women how to act, behave, dress etc. these men believe that how a man feels about our self-expression is more important than our right to have it: it is no different to telling women to keep their bra straps hidden, that women’s nipples are sexual, etc.
The patriarchy has its tendrils in everything.
Every time [woman] behaves like a human being, she is declared to be identifying with the male.

people will be like "have you heard they're adding ai to google translate" in a serious tone
did you hear? they're adding DEAD ANIMALS to fried chicken
Mr president. we added 300,000 jobs this month. but they were all. blow jobs
beautiful horse named estrogen
my new trans girl name is cya. short for cyanide. cya losers
there are nonbinary people who are willing to go to the "women and nonbinary" spaces, nonbinary people who are not willing to go, nonbinary people who know they would never be welcome in them, and women who know they would never be welcome in them.
if you're nonbinary but not transfeminized, your choices are to go and tolerate constant regendering pressure and implicit reproduction of transmisogyny as the cost of admission, or to say "fuck that."
if you're transfeminized you get no choice at all.
yes, the experience of transphobia for tme nonbinary people in these spaces is deeply unpleasant, but we should all be able to understand that it's not really a sympathetic position we're in here. like we do need to read the room.
we experience this form of transphobia as the toll to get proximity to cis women's gendered power via signing on to the transmisogynistic structuring of social space.
in blunt terms, that's what's happening. we all know damn well cis women in these spaces will only help us out on the condition that we let them act like "nonbinary" means nothing more than "cis woman who uses Pronouns(TM)." we do need to name that this is an issue of power and selling out transfeminized people in order to get access to some residual cis privilege.
like we can talk about it as a phenomenon, but not without naming the transmisogyny that defines the entire social reality the phenomenon emerges within.

Unsubstantiated anonymous allegations against trans women in tumblr asks have this interesting tone of like... they're declarations attaching intrinsic badness to the person, right? It's not just "[trans woman] did this bad thing" but like. "[trans woman] is a Bad Individual"
This is because "Is Bad" is harder to debunk than "Did Specific Things" btw
my two moods lately, unfortunately, are grumpy or high
I love that only trans girls are allowed to touch me
Oh and it turns out I jumped the gun, nvm lol
