Every single non trans woman who proclaims to be an ally absolutely needs to be posting about how goddamn transmisogynist staff is.

Because when trans women dare to speak up for themselves, Tumblr nukes their blogs.

We need to be fucking loud about this, daily, because Tumblr staff is specifically targeting and deleting trans women who are not breaking ToS and who often have fundraisers up FOR THEIR SURVIVAL.

By deleting these blogs repeatedly, Tumblr staff is saying loud and clear what they hope happens to these girls.

Are y'all okay with that? Because if not we need to be posting about it more because we have seen by now it's incredibly fucking unlikely this sites moderation will delete our blogs for it because we are not trans women

Every other queer discourse boils down to “I think your identity exists too close to the status quo, and if you hid your identity from everybody and pretended to be a part of this status quo AND nobody looked too closely, you might be able to appear like One Of Them. and since we all hate everybody who has a status quo identity (even though their “status quo” identity is just as personal and valid as anyone else’s and don’t deserve to be hated on) that means we hate you too. It’s what the biphobia discourse was about, it’s what the aphobia discourse was about, it’s what the transandrophobia discourse is about, it’s what the AFAB trans fem/AMAB trans masc discourse is about. Some of y’all heard “nobody should be excluded because of their queerness” and turned it into “Some people should be excluded if they aren’t queer enough” and that’s a big problem. You shouldn’t be trying to get people to prove they’re queer enough. You shouldn’t be forced to out yourself in order to participate in community. “Well what if the cis straight guy gets in-“ well as long as he’s not doing anything wrong, then who gives a shit. You can’t tell who is going to do evil based on their identity. You can’t. It’s only through their actions that you can determine that. That should be the foundation of your belief structure.

Do you think they decided to paint it red so it is more noticeable, but just never thought to fix it in the other scene? Because if you have a plot point where something being the wrong color is a sign to the characters, then you'd think if the color of something was changed for aesthetic purposes, you'd be extra careful to make sure it's consistent.

They changed the logo on Holly's clothes (which I never even would have noticed) in like two seconds even after release, but not this. It suggests they either never knew about this inconsistency or just never cared.

my futile wish is for people to understand that "sex scenes in movies/TV don't have to serve the plot and can genuinely just be for pleasure" and "sex-repulsed people are allowed to complain about how rare it is for media made for adults like them to be something they can enjoy completely" are both true statements. unfortunately society hates both sex and people who don't like sex, so everyone gets far too defensive about any sex or lack thereof in fiction to actually have this conversation
