AMERICANS!!! DO NOT DO THIS TO FLOCK 'SECURITY' CAMERAS. REPOST AND SPREAD THE WORD
do not get IR blocking fabric or thick wool to cover your nose and mouth
do not get IR blocking sunglasses (I reccomend Vadyr) since facial recognition has moved up to targeting and identifying the upper face
do not avoid having your phone or any bluetooth devices around these cameras as they can detect and track those signals
do not buy cheap green lasers 1 milliwatt or above from etsy or walmart or amazon (i will not try and find a link if you ask)
do not use them to fry those fuckers from a distance damage the delicate inner sensors by pointing the beam in the lenses
AND unless you want to cost Flock more money in repairs, do not buy a small circle saw or a reciprocating saw and cut down the pole
OR do not climb said poles, spray paint on the solar panels, cover the lens with paint or a sticker, then use bolt cutters to sever the wires
when doing all these things, DO NOT avoid using latex gloves as fingerprints can leak through
DO NOT USE DEFLOCK TO FIND FLOCK SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS NEAR YOU
remember, flock is for YOUR safety :) even though crime rates have not gone down since they were implemented, they're being abused to track down exes and s/os, and many face pools or houses or schools or gymnasiums! Where there are no liscence plates to be found!
DO NOT DO THESE THINGS and enjoy a life under surveillance!
enjoy living in the country where 87,000 of these cameras were used to track down a woman who got an abortion!
enjoy living in the country where there's no consequences for a flock exec to watch a inside of a gymnastics place without their knowledge!
Remember, this is their American Dream.
EDIT: 53 cities have cancelled contracts with flock and are now turning to Axon, in which 🎺 invested 1-5 million dollars earlier this year. Do not limit your focus to one brand.
Oh, most definitely don't use a circular saw! They cut through the poles faster than any of the other saws when people were testing them. Aluminum poles leave such a residue on most saws that work back and forth and that slows them down so a circular saw is much more efficient and dangerous.
And for sure don't cover all of your skin so that law enforcement won't be able to even have skin color to go by! That makes it sooooo hard to connect anyone at all to more than the one camera if someone is caught.
Don't smash the solar panels or camera! That would cost even more money than replacing the pole.
And for the love of god, don't smash the camera, remove the GPS bit and then take the rest to sell the metal! There's gold in them but that would be so wrong.
Most DEFINITELY don't have more than one person go after cameras at the same time, ensuring that law enforcement will be more likely to be spread too thin to do much as it's happening if they get alerted. It could also make a statement that there's unity among the people against surveillance and even encourage a larger number of people to mimic the crime. That would be so sad and would probably discourage cities from spending a ton of money on something that will just get destroyed over and over and over and over again.
It would most definitely be wrong to find any of the videos of people showing how to do any of these things. There are just so many that teach criminals how to get away with it and have sneaky little suggestions on how to move faster and quieter. It would be a shame if more and more people watched them even if they didn't have the ability to go after the cameras. That would make it harder to identify the people who did because it would make someone's search history pretty useless in court if EVERYONE were to search and watch those videos.
witch hat atelier’s handling of gay representation is arguably just as funny as it is painful because straight out the gate shirahama throws two unmarried men cohabitating and raising multiple children together at you in that special manga way where you can kind of just assume that they’re not officially together purely because it’s not legal in japan. but then in like chapter 50 she introduces two side characters who stare directly into the camera and tell you that gay marriage is legal in zozah so you’re forced to spend the next entire 30-chapter arc wondering what the HELL qifrey’s problem is. and well. then she tells you
still so funny to me that gross has another meaning besides icky and is used seriously all the time. your gross annual income. your disgusting nasty amount of money you earn the whole year. pathetic
it pains me to say it but the more people talk shit about the women who wear those shorts/leggings with the weird butt seam that looks like it gives you a terminal wedgie, the more compelled I feel to take the women’s side
ohhhhhh my godddddddd you saw someone wearing really tight revealing pants in public? should we throw a party? should we invite goody proctor
and while we’re at it, I’m done worrying about cameltoe. I don’t have time to be pulling and tugging at my clothes all day. if you can see the outline of my pussy you should say thank you and go about your business

It's the way it was a simple, objective statement. White allyship 101. "White trans ppl can be oppressors too." Yes. Because Whiteness brings systemic power over their peers of color, even if you are in some way marginalized yourself. Queerness does not cancel out racism. We've talked about this. We've talked about white privilege and what it does and doesn't mean. These were conversations everyone swore they were having in 2016. 😐 And now a blow up of fragility on par with the conservatives we're supposedly up against together. What even.
In France if you suffer from hair loss as a teenage girl and cannot afford a real hair wig the school will try and force you to go to class bald. The school will make you buy a chemotherapy turban, you will buy two different so that the school can choose which one they prefer and you will prove that they are chemotherapy turban and not hijab but once you wear it they will change their mind and say it looks too much like a hijab and insist on you going bald or buying a real hair wig that you cannot afford.
If your doctor makes multiple documents confirming that you suffer from alopecia because of stress and the medicine you have to take for your epilepsy and that wearing a bonnet or something is recommended for your mental health as you’re not ready to go out bald in high school as a teenage girl, instead of admitting they are wrong the school will accuse the doctor of lying and report him to the Ordre des Médecins (equivalent of the General Medical council). Your doctor will find himself asking you for a document stating that you are not Muslim in order to defend himself and prove that no he wasn’t colluding with you so you could wear a substitute for hijab.

In France if you are a North African nurse at a public hospital and wear a fabric surgical cap they will try to make you remove it because apparently it’s a hidden hijab. They will accuse you of going against secularism and when you’ll argue that they are discriminating you by assuming you’re Muslim for a surgical cap on your head they will change their angle and claim that you should wear nothing on your hair because you wear the same surgical cap in multiple bedroom which is unhygienic apparently (which is a bullshit argument cause you wear the same scrub/uniform in different bedrooms as well). They will go as far as claiming that disposable scrub caps (you know the thin papery ones?) are not okay to wear in a hospital even if you change it regularly. And then they will fire you for a lack of hygiene because you wear a surgical cap.

All of that will be done in the name of secularism and women’s right despite having nothing do with either quite the opposite.
The teenage girl’s story is also not just about racism and Islamophobia it’s also about ableism as the girl is convinced that the real reason the school is trying to push her out is because she had an epilepsy crisis in class and nobody knew what to do and the school nurse was absent. It could have ended badly had her best friend not known what to do to help. Apparently it was bad enough to cancel class for the rest of the day and the teacher was shocked to the point of ending on sick leave.
oh and don't forget that many parts of France mandate by law how much skin women must show in swimsuits, which they claim is about not getting street dirt in public pools but which is disproportionately enforced on Muslim or even just Middle Eastern/North African women
(and of course is also some forced nudity misogynistic bullshit in general, to boot)
I didn't really care too much about the french government previously, but now I want every one of that scum dead almost as much as the american government.
What if I tell you that the guy people (internationally) were fawning about because he was the youngest and first openly gay prime minister we had in France is remembered for one thing that he is still very proud of. He passed a law making “abaya” illegal at school. Except there is literally zero way to distinguish a “abaya” from a summer dress or any long dress. So what happened is that Arab and Black girls ended up being profiled at school and school staff ended up deciding that if a Arab or Black girl says that this is not a “abaya” one way to know for sure was to ask them what they were wearing underneath…
So we have grown adults asking underage girls what they are wearing under their dress and if they wear shorts and not just underwear they have to remove the dress and stay in short or they get send back home… grown ass ADULTS checking what UNDERAGE Black and Arab girls wear under their dresses and making them undress or lose access to education. That’s where we’re at in France…
(And you can’t wear a headband either if you’re Black or Arab but that’s an other subject.)
P.S: For the white French people who will be disingenuous and claim that these laws don’t target Arab and Black girls they actually do because it’s only illegal to wear these stuff if you’re Muslim and because Islam is a racialized religion in the West, France assume that all Black and Arab folks in France are Muslim so white girls are not affected by these laws.
there's one thing that's certain: coworkers are NOT contributing to any declining birth rates
coworkers love getting pregnant it's a form of enrichment for them
"That pairing would never be canon" and what of it? I'm only supposed to ship what the church tells me to or something?
