Levi Snippet #30 : Learning The Truth
With y/n’s wrist mostly healed, well healed to the point where she’s able to use odm gear again even if her wrist still stings sometimes . levi felt somewhat better with his ankle , for what felt like ages to the raven haired male the night before after they had dinner and cleaned up . Both retreated back to their room .. with y/n in her nightwear which was a plain shirt and shorts to sleep in . while they made out y/n had found out her lover was excited “there”. nipping her jaw , coming back to her lips the kisses turned heated .. not being able to help it the man was marking her . y/n was lightly panting at first stifling a moan when he found her sweet . “don’t do that .. i want to hear your pretty sounds “ lightly scolding the petite woman but it didn’t bother her . “L-Levi a-are you sure ? I want you but i don’t want you to hurt yourself “ y/n was still panting but now she had a flustered face which made her all the more beautiful levi then nodded moving to pull her shirt off. “Y/N, It was fucking torture not to have you .. how am i supposed to stay sane when the woman i love is this fucking beautiful”. That made the petite woman red as a tomato “y-you’re just saying that “.. “ i wouldn’t bother to tell you if it wasn’t the truth”.. “t-then take me , god levi i was going crazy this whole time i need you now” both were happy being mostly healed they had a passionate night. levi woke up first when morning came, with his eyes fluttering open his greyish-blue eyes softened.. y/n had a bed head .. h/c was messy. to levi no matter what he’d always find her beautiful. finally waking up y/n gave levi a sleepy smile telling him good morning which the man said in return the raven haired captain swore that he felt his heart skip a beat seeing her this adorable . “Levi “.. “hm?” “You’re so handsome”.. that surprised her lover making him lightly blush . one minute she can be bold and turn into a blushing mess the next . the petite woman’s face was red as a tomato. Levi chuckled and wrapped his arm around her back. pressing his lips to the back of her neck and the back of her ear, before whispering three words to y/n that made the woman smile. "You're so beautiful." Even though Levi had said this to her before, it still made y/n’s heart melt. she felt Levi's hand caress and twirl around hers. Absentmindedly, she started playing with his fingers. He continued to kiss her neck and the top of her head from time to time, and he smiled as she rubbed small circles on his palm. with the two having a romantic moment someone decided to barge in . startling the petite woman the upper half of her body was exposed . “Good morning shorty’s ! Oh my fuck!” Not understanding why hange reacted like that y/n had an innocent confused face . clearing their throat with a light blush on their face they decided to be playful . “Damn y/n who knew you were hiding such a sexy body ! and looks like shorty left an art gallery on you” it finally clicked realizing her upper half was exposed the pretty light blue eyed woman shrieked ,her ears were red and hid herself in levi’s embrace . growling at them for teasing y/n levi was showing an already pissed off look aimed at the brunette “piss off four eyes” hange did anything but that they chuckled amused at the ruffled up lovebirds. y/n heard hange make a small hiss . that made y/n obviously worry about her friend . “hange are you ok?” knowing that they’d have to fess up eventually they nervously smiled at the 5 ft woman. “ sadly , my body is covered in two-degree burns at the moment.” . y/n’s eyes widened from the shocking news .. “hange what the fuck happened out there?” Levi asks , outwardly he kept a calm and collected face but both sakura and hange could tell he was worried about them equally just as much as y/n is . “That’s why i came in here shorty’s.. erwin wants to see you two .. as amusing this reunion’s been, I’ll leave the two of you to get dressed in your uniforms. Honeymoon’s over. Oh and sakura .. nice rack” winking at their friend who’s face reverted back to blushing red as an apple
the ever protective lover levi is when it comes to y/n was giving hange an intense pissed off look “trust me we’re well aware , get the fuck out of here already shitty glasses”. hange left the room clearly entertained that they purposely pissed off levi . Once both levi and y/n looked presentable and dressed in their uniforms both the captain and his lieutenant were taken aback at how badly injured erwin is. “Erwin, your arm “.. y/n showed an upset face, clearly worried about the commanders well being. Before erwin could answer levi interjected with another question “erwin what the fuck happened ?”. “I guess we should start at the beginning before Erwin arrived on the scene,” Hange notes methodically. “Our hunch was right. Reiner and Bertolt are the Armor and the Colossal, and it didn’t take much for them to admit it. they’re the ones who confessed to Eren before transforming. the colossal titan’s transformation is equivalent to an immense fiery explosion.hence my and several others injuries. It also consistently emits dangerous amounts of hot steam afterward, so there’s no way getting close to them without practically catching fire.” They managed to capture Eren for several hours before my reinforcements arrived, which is when we set out to retrieve him immediately.” Erwin takes over calmly, and y/n’s heart seizes for a moment. “We succeeded in getting him back, however, we’ve noted some casualties.” y/n stares at Erwin as a moment passes, and the weight of his words thickens the air in the room. Who?” Levi asks. “Nanaba and Miche.” erwin answers with a grim voice . y/n’s stomach drops and her eyes widened in shock “What? What do you mean? How?”. “from what we’ve been told miche veered away from his group to stall a hoard. we suspect that there was an issue with his ODM gear. All they found was blood.” soaking all the information in y/n’s widened eyes dilated and tightened her fists until they were white ‘this is nothing new but it never gets easier finding out our comrades lives were lost’. the lieutenant looks back at erwin , he gave his longtime friend an understanding look . “and for nanaba, a select group of titans were able to move around at night. Nanaba and other soldiers consisting of our newer cadets, including reiner and bertolt, were trapped in an abandoned tower far out near the wall. they say she took out four titans before she got grabbed.” for y/n who hates that lives were lost , her eyes became glossy. “Miche and Nanaba died protecting the Survey Corps youths because that is the burden of being in our Regiment. Their sacrifices will always be remembered, and we’ll honor them by working towards the next steps.” Erwin steps in, voice level with forced clarity. “We retrieved Eren but our problems are far from over. We now have three known intelligent Titans somewhere out there with no knowledge as to how many more enemies we are sure to face. Not to mention the people in the interior who are hoping to silence us.” “Three?” y/n asks swallowing a lump in her throat . “Ymir, the tall girl who follows Historia around had the power of the Titans as well. We’re clearly in over our heads.” Hange mutters, running a hand over their head. “According to Historia, she’s not an enemy, but it’s obvious her only goal has been to protect the blonde. Which we must now prioritize, given Pastor Nick’s warning. motherfucker” both y/n and levi could easily tell that this new information was taking a toll on them and everybody else. Y/N realizes that she and Levi are now the higher-ups that are in the best shape, and while the deaths of Miche and Nanaba weigh heavy on her heart, there is so much that needs to be done. as levi faced Erwin he began asking the more important questions that needed to be answered. “What do you need us to do erwin?” ““I need you to take Eren and Historia elsewhere.” The Commander concedes, with his eyes stern. “Somewhere isolated and safe.” “That can be arranged “ y/n cuts in and levi continues. “ y/n and I will take Eren and Historia as well as their 104th friends to an old farmhouse.
I’ve chosen them for my new squad.” As a knock draws levi’s attention to the door, Moblit pulls it open to reveal Connie Springer's miraculously timed arrival. “Commander! I apologize for interrupting, but I have something important to share.” his eyes were wide, laced with horror and fear, and the lieutenants stomach twists at the sight. “I don’t know who else to go to, and it may sound crazy, but-”. “Take it easy connie” y/n cuts the kid off with a calm and gentle voice. “Bizzare is the new normal. Tell us what you know, and it might be the tamest thing we’ve heard all day.” He swallows, eyes flicking to the Commander who nods. The boy hesitantly steps into the room while Moblit moves around him. “I’m going to keep watch section commander.” He announces, earning an appreciative smile from Hange. as the door shuts, a heavy silence follows as connie’s disturbed gaze stays forward. with his lip quivering before he takes a steadying breath before he started to speak. “Ragako Village. my hometown. we’ve passed through it while searching for the compromised section of wall rose”. “the reports say that no casualties were found.” hange cuts in with a furrowed brow. “but that the town was destroyed.”“that’s right, there weren’t any bodies, but there was a titan, lying on its back as if it couldn’t move, where my house was.” connie’s voice trembles slightly. “the titan, well, it couldn’t walk. there was confusion on how it even got there, and when I looked into its eyes, I-I swear that it had spoken to me”. connie looks as though he’s waiting for everyone or to kick him out of the room, instead, he sees the others look at him with morbid curiosity and patience. after what the 15 year old kid has gone through lately y/n calls out to the boy calmly and asks in a gentle voice knowing that she needs to show him her warm and kindhearted nature she looked at the young cadet with a gentle smile . “connie , what exactly did it say”. swallowing the lump in his throat he managed to answer “ it said welcome home” . his voice broke as tears started to form in his eyes. “reiner told me I was imagining things, but knowing his identity now, he must’ve been trying to confuse me. but now that i know, I can feel it in my soul that the titan lying over my crushed house is my mother. I don’t know how but I know it’s her. I just know it.” y/n’s heart felt heavy seeing that the boy does his absolute best to control his emotions, but both the lieutenant and captain levi could see the mixture of both grief and anger coursing through his veins. both believed him without a doubt. now that everyone is certain that titans were once human, and that this boy not only lost his entire family but was forced to look into the eyes of his mother and see a monster. with y/n’s heart aching with complete empathy not to mention that after hearing everything. she pulled connie into a hug... he clung onto y/n while he was sobbing. finally letting the short lieutenant go connie tried to apologize but sakura shook her head “there’s no need for you to apologize connie “ showing him a bright but gentle smile . the petite lieutenant looks over her shoulder and sees that hange is looking at sakura with warmth and pride despite the weight of the boy’s sorrow.. levi hands the youth a handkerchief. “we believe you.” erwin speaks up. “In fact, you’ve been a key part of a theory we’ve previously surmised. Thank you.” Connie’s wide eyes shift from Erwin to Levi. He utters a weak appreciation before taking the cloth that the captain had handed to him . “It’s a lot to take in .we get it, but take a walk and pull yourself together, springer. you’re the first to know that you’ve been appointed to my squad starting tomorrow, and this is the only grace period I’ll allow you.” Levi’s voice is stern but also gentle. connie’s red-rimmed eyes widen, shock and slivers of excitement coursing through them. the blue eyed white haired woman looks back at levi and him a smile that tells him ‘I’m proud of you’. outwardly levi shows only a stoic expression but internally his heart felt warm .
“ thank you captain, I’m honored.” connie stutters out, wiping at his eyes. sakura who understands that any type of trauma doesn’t go away quickly like how other people would like . but levi has done well with helping connie continue to look forward to other things. even if it’s something small such as joining Levi’s Squad. “ “The other brats from your graduation year, Eren, Historia, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, and Jean; they’ll be coming with us as well. I’m assigning you the task of informing them. we’ll meet tomorrow at the stables and ride out at dawn. If any of them are late, that responsibility falls on you. Understood?” . “sir!” connie nods and salutes to his new superior respectfully before his gaze flickers to the petite lieutenant . she offer’s the boy a kind and reassuring smile. muttering out a “thank you” to her . “dismissed,” levi says as he turns away and connie nods before exiting the room. with this new information sinking in.. the others that were in the room were overwhelmed “looks like our hunch was right again “. hange states while y/n was lost in thought she didn’t know what to think much less feel about this new information. erwin could see how it was affecting both captain levi and his lieutenant. anyone who knew y/n and levi could tell right off the bat at how hard they were taking this . “ tch ..goddamnit” “so , all this time i’ve spent time and energy running around killing people?”. with connie standing outside,he stares at his parent's portrait, tears were threatening to fall down. but he stops himself, looks up, and began to walk away with Hange as levi stares at them through the window. both of them were equally disturbed by this. y/n calls out to erwin to get his attention “Erwin”.. she stops herself when she sees him smile . both levi and y/n were taken aback by him choosing now to smile at a time like this .. ‘Erwin?’ y/n looks at her superior and trusted friend with a troubled look on her face. erwin then stops his smile.. “erwin, what the hell are you smiling for?”.. erwin looks over at levi and then back at his lap as he shakes his head. “It's nothing” levi and y/n both stare at him baffled as erwin continues. “it's just... with this, we've taken one more step towards the truth”.y/n runs her fingers through her hair .. “one whole step huh? erwin we’ll be running out of people before we even get to that point”.. while he was looking up erwin had a determined look in his eyes “But it’s a step towards the truth.. one day, we'll break it down.. this wall that’s hiding the truth... will fall”. y/n didn’t say much.. the petite lieutenant does look at her superior simply saying “then i’m going to trust your judgement erwin” as she walks out of the room closing the door..
