ZINE BASH CHALLENGE #02: INTERACTIVE [@zinebash] ‘Choose your own Adventure’
Welcome Adventurer! Within 14-pages of action-packed quests and interactions you get to choose your own adventure! Or rather… pick one of the nine possible fates I have created for you… Sort of more like the length of a ‘which character are you?’ type quiz, rather than the endless possibilities a full-blown book would offer - but an adventure nonetheless!
I’ll link a printable copy as soon as I can give this baby a test-print, although it still constitutes as a one-page zine there is some finagling to get the two-sides lined up - keep your eyes peeled!

ZINE BASH CHALLENGE #01: PLAYLIST [@zinebash] ‘Songs I would add to my Nan’s jukebox’
I think I waxed lyrical enough in my summary, so here’s me adding way too many songs to a jukebox even though this was cut down heavily. Perhaps this is very telling of my character, a get to know me of sorts…
ZINE BASH #07: PRINT [@zinebash] ‘Nobody knows how to mosh anymore’
Excuse me while I get up on my soapbox and perform my old-man-yelling-at-clouds routine BUT I have something to say… some of y’all need to get f*ckin loose man
Recently having admitted to liking punk rock music more that I realise after seeing The Smashing Pumpkins, I have a few observations that I cannot stop thinking about the weird energy from the crowd. Now it could be the result of several things; post-covid life, the venue, internet culture putting everything on blast - but as far as I know you’re going to see a band live to have a bloody good time and it did not appear a lot of people were having that. Attempts at mosh-pits dashed, walls not formed in favour of selfie-opportunities, aggression over comradery - I understand not everyone’s down to be in the pit but christ! does no one wish to slam their bodies into each other to appreciate good music anymore???
And when Skin tells you to make some circles you best believe you start making circles.

My submission for Limbo Lane’s 6th anniversary zine, hosted by @echobsilly. It feels so fast that I’ve grown to love this game from watching my buffalo play my own personal stream of it to finding out the devs turned six and I’m actually drawing fan-art for once, the love of the game makes you do crazy things sometimes.
God I love women (+ love women loving women)

‘Girlhood: what it means to me’ [rejected]
A short 8-page collage zine combining 2000’s nostalgic imagery with more current thoughts about being raised a girl.
Growing up is hard no matter who you are, perhaps with many different struggles and adversities, but we are all experiencing our first time being alive and finding our footing in this big old world that throws you into centuries old unspoken rules and structures. This is not to say those raised as boys may have it any better, just as a reflection on being raised a girl in the turn of the millennium. Messages were made more neutral in an attempt to be accepted for an art submission, but still too dark for a group celebrating female creativity. Perhaps a further revision will be made to correct this.
Had to reblog this with the worlds most out of touch book I found - yes it was full of insane takes, no I didn’t record any you’ve just got to use your imagination

ZINE BASH #06 - ALL THE SMALL THINGS [@zinebash] ‘Our Childhood Dollhouse’
An easy one for me - queen of the small things - going back to my roots of spending countless hours at my plethora of dollhouses - one at each of my many estates (grandparents houses).
Being an only child for half my life and being fortunate enough to have loving grandparents whom never moved my childhood things, I am left with a whole rooms that have remained relatively untouched since I put down my games of make believe for the last time. Funny how you never realise when that will be, because although I still love to arrange, name and display little guys I can’t seem to breathe life into them like I did back then. And without that little girl squirrelling herself away to that house everyday I don’t think I’d be the person I am today, and for that I thank that her and make this tribute to her favourite small things.
one of my favorite things about childhood dollhouses (and toy collections) are all the random animal figures or odd bits that end up in it. I dont remember where or why certain pieces ended up in my displays but I remember they had to be included. the cocktail umbrella reminded me of this lol
Mine isn't as impressive and I don't have photos of it from childhood but, this was my childhood dollhouse. It was in my sister's possession for a while and now it's back with me. And it's filled with bits from different places now making into a manor from its original hotel design.
I LOVE this! You truly have the more enviable house, although I never had it as a kid I love older fisher price dollhouse designs! That elevator is everythinggg, so jealous it’s small enough to pack up and take away with you!
come get your tiny shaker charm beatles while theyre still here
