Dear overprotective parents,

Do you really think you framing all these stupid fucking rules is gonna stop your child from doing stupid things?! No it isn’t it’s just gonna make them want to do it more. They’re gonna turn rebellious and you would’ve had no damn clue cause they would’ve have acted all perfect in front of you cause that’s what you’ve taught them to be and anything else is unacceptable. You think you’re protecting them from the evils of the world? Well you might be doing that but it’s also possible that a much evil world is being created within them. So talk to your frickin children… Tell them what’s wrong and what’s right. Learn about what they think is right and wrong. Learn about them. Take time to know them. Listen to them and tell them what they need to be protected from and how to protect themselves. But if you’re that concerned then tell them you’re always there for them and they’ll have your support. DO NOT FOR GOD’S SAKE JUST LOCK THEM UP IN A FUCKING CAGE!

And know that you sometimes need to let them to fall down and get back up so they know how to pick themself up… If you’re holding their hand through the entire journey they arent gonna grow up to be the strong respectable person you want them to be.
