LL Cool J is kind of this Energizer battery. He’s always working on something, either outside the show or on the show. He’s hosting the Grammys, doing concerts, and is an inspiration for doing your creative life outside of the show as well. He’s equally dedicated to the show. He shows up Monday morning after a show in Miami on Sunday. So if you ever think that you had a busy weekend, his was busier. He has an intense work ethic. The first time I met LL Cool J, he gave me this big bear hug, and it was like “Oh.” He’s a massive brick wall of a dude with an equally massive personality, so when he comes into the room, his energy really informs the space in a really interesting way.
