What appears to be a NIkon FE-2, in the 2024 movie, Civil War.
A soldier in the movie “Before Dawn” with a box camera. What is he looking through?!
There are several cameras in the movie "The Hotel New Hampshire" but they are difficult to see clearly enough for identification. This one however seems to be a Mamiya 6x7 Press camera. That's a young Jodie Foster in red.
Bandit shows his Polaroid 600 to Bluey and Bingo.
Clint Eastwood in “The Bridges of Madison County” with a black Nikon F with chrome eye-level prism finder, Nikkor-S Auto 1.4/50mm (with purposely matted front element to avoid reflections during the filming), and a motor drive - possibly F-36. Actress is Meryl Streep.
A Nikon F3 in tthe 1995 movie, “Hackers”.
There is a lot of Nikon product placement in this movie. One character’s nickname is “Lord Nikon.” He has the Nikon logo on his computer screen
Jason Schwartzman plays a photographer in the Wes Anderson movie, “Asteroid City”. He has what appears to be a Kiev 4. Funny thing though - throughout the movie, the shutter sound of the camera sounds excessively long (~1/2 sec.) for the lighting conditions and way too long for hand-held shooting.
Brie Larson in “Kong: Skull Island” with a Leica M3, a 3.5cm Summaron goggled lens, and MR meter.
Alec Guinness with a Rolleiflex 3.5 in the 1955 movie, "Ladykillers".
A beautiful Leica M2 in the second trailer for the Chinese Tencent production of “Three Body”, based on the Three Body Problem trilogy of books by Liu Cixin. I’m looking forward to seeing this.
The lens is a Summarit 2.8/35.
An Argus C44R camera in the movie “Hollywoodland”, directed by Allen Coulter.
The usual collection of Graflexes, and a surprise Nikon SP, in the 2022 movie, “Elvis”.
Nikon F4 in S06E07 of Better Call Saul.
(Thank you to Trung Doan for this.)
A Yashica 124G in the wonderful Indian movie, “RRR”. I actually jumped out of my seat when I saw this. The movie is set in 1920 but the 124G was first sold in 1970.
At one point in The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes (2022), a XOONS lens hood can be seen peeking out from behind Ms. Monroe as it was announced that she was divorced by Joe Dimaggio. The beautiful and distinct XOONS was attached to a Leica 5cm 1.5 Summarit and a model III, complete with SBOOI viewfinder.
Thanks Johnny Martyr for this.
Scene for Kalifornia featuring a hot pink disposable or toy camera. L to R: Michelle Forbes, Brad Pitt, Juliette Lewis, and David Duchovny.
