I keep trying to tell you all, don’t come trying to play tumblr, Twitter, Facebook attorney. You never know who might own you.
At Friday’s rally in Chicago, the members of the “silent majority” that Trump speaks for were made, at least for a few hours, to realize that other Americans actually have a voice too. Of course, this moment will only encourage their right-wing politics of racial resentment, hatred, nativism and revanchism. The Trumpeteers now have a story to tell of black and brown savagery in the evil “Democratically controlled” Chicago. This distorted version of events will resonate throughout the Fox News right-wing disinformation machine. Those Trumpeteers at his planned Chicago rally will spin tales of being imperiled by “Mau Maus” and “Commies.” In reality, they were never in any real danger. And like Trump’s other events, the fights and scuffles that did take place were mostly instigated by his supporters.

This is Woody -- a 1.5yo, 45lb terrier-mix. He has been waiting to be adopted from Famous Fido Rescue for over a year now. I met him for the first time tonight after volunteering to pick him up from Found Chicago (where he attends doggie daycare with socialization and basic manners training) and bring him back to Famous Fido Rescue. He is such a sweet and friendly boy! I hope he finds his forever home soon. If you're interested in adopting Woody, go to www.famousfidorescue.com (at Famous Fido)
I won this autographed Greg Maddux jersey back in September 2006. It's been hanging in my closet since then. I think it's about time I got it framed. #HOF #Cooperstown #MLBHallofFame

Fundraising for Philippine typhoon victims at RICEBOWL 2013
Friends and family: I will be collecting MONETARY DONATIONS for GK Southern Leyte this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16 from 8:00am-12:00pm at the Ricebowl football tournament being held at Elizabeth A. Conkey Forest Preserve in Palos Heights, IL. Please help spread the word to all tournament participants, those planning to watch the games, and anyone who lives in or near the park that would like to stop by and donate! GK Southern Leyte is a grassroots non-profit organization based in the Philippines currently undertaking action to assist the affected areas with their Operation Walang Iwanan (No One Left Behind). They will be distributing food packs to victims at a cost of less than $4, among other forms of assistance. Right now their efforts are focused on providing the basic needs to survivors; food, water, medicine, hygiene products and temporary shelter. They are currently providing relief aid to the people of Ormoc City and Tacloban City and their respective neighboring towns. In the next couple of days they will be delivering 10,000 food packs (their goal is to deliver 50,000+ food packs to typhoon survivors) and will be going on a medical mission this weekend to Ormoc City. They will also be needing financial help for the next phase of assistance to typhoon survivors -- long term rehabilitation through forming new villages and empowering the people. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
The Philippines is not being forgotten. Everyone wants to help.
