Yknow its been a few years and looking back at this i still have so many idea cooking.

Dadvid and DadJaspvid content HOPEFULLY at least some of next month, if work doesn’t keep kicking my ass.

Watching kids get dropped off at camp by their parents and going hm. So that’s why you are like this.

Watching 100 children perform the same action with their parents in the space of 15 minutes really puts into perspective how children are like their parents and how children’s behavior and personality is largely shaped by their interactions with their parent.

12-year-old who is embraced and kissed by dad and they both say “I love you, have a good day!” is an outgoing and kind child.

12-year-old who is dropped off wordlessly and instantly walks away from dad is quiet and has difficulty interacting with other children.

YOU DON’T SAY.

Not to mention that when children are interacting with more than one guardian it instantly becomes obvious which one the child likes and respects more, or which is more active in the child’s life.

Max shows up to camp one summer wearing braces but nobody figures that out til like a week in cause he refuses to talk because he’s got a lisp sdgdfsdfd

And it’s not from tourette’s syndrome, but most likely from ADHD

David has ADHD and he's so good at running this camp because it's his big special interest, and her likes helping run the smaller camps because the kids get to express their special interests! Also he gets REALLY bad RSD

when i was in like third grade i went to this science camp and one night at campfire they told us a story about a ufo crashing into a lake nearby and then later in the middle of the night they woke us all up and told us the aliens were back and this time they’d laid eggs in the woods !! it was our duty to arm ourselves and go destroy the eggs, so we armored up in tinfoil and shaving cream ( ????? ) and marched into the woods ready to save the planet. the ‘eggs’ were whole watermelons hidden around the camp and we had to smash them open on trees and rocks and eat the alien fetus/watermelon goo as fast as possible. i cannot emphasis enough the raw joy of digging into a watermelon with your bare hands and stuffing it into your face in the middle of the night in the woods, barely taking time to chew so that you can save the planet from hostile aliens, and i think i became the person i am because of that night.

Why David is actually a slytherin

I definitely think he’d still end up in hufflepuff becouse he’s a hat stall, plus he’d like it better there. There no denying that’s he’s loyal to a fault, insanely hardworking and a literal cinnamon role but there’s still argument for slytherin. It’s about what traits come out when you need them and what your vaule, not your personality. He’s insanely resorcful and determined- especially when his morals are challenged. Also he’d make an AMAZING counselor if the campers would actually cooperate, and even when there not he still keeps trying and does his best. This further proves his leadership and determination. Although his dream of working at camp campbell already came true we can still see his ambition. Things about max being happy are plastered everywhere- and I really don’t thing wanting to make people happy is just a hufflepuff thing, slytherins want to best for thoses they like.

Ok I love this and ill expand on it.

He is AGRESSIVELY stubborn when he's set on something. He thinks Daniel is fine until Max implied Daniel is better than him at being a counselor. This is what FINALLY convinces him to stop Daniel.

David literally hired an armed robber to teach Campbell a lesson about doing the right thing.

The Christmas episode, again trying to thwart Campbell because he is SURE he's doing bad things, and he NEEDS to catch him no matter how many things he needs to ruin. Crafty, clever, sneaky.

Literally any situation where David goes overboard trying to prove a point, basically.

This usually ends up being his undoing. See Order Of The Sparrow and Parent Day, where he accidentally makes Max cry because he is, once again, being a bit of a stubborn prick.

He is a PERCECT example of "Not All Slytherin Are Evil" and I really love it. He tends to go too hard and gets ahead of himself. He wants to be the best and do the best and fix everything, and by GOLLY nobody will stop him.

(Also young David SCREAMS prickish first-year Slytherin lol. Little heart full of hate, that he later turns to ambition.)

Gravity Falls bent over backwards to include a Halloween episode in a show set during the summer.

Camp Camp did a full contortionist routine to include two Halloween episodes, two Christmas episodes, and a Hanukkah episode in a show set during the summer.
