This Isnt Pushing Asides Anger Its Having enough empathy To understand That Being Angry Leads to Nothing & It Doesn't Make You Feel Better.
i think another part of the problem is that you spend so many hours in siffrin's head, a character who is so severely depressed and self-loathing, that it's hard for a lot of people to detach themselves from it immediately after finishing the game. it's a mistake to take their words at face value because siffrin is a very unreliable narrator.
when you take a step back to breathe and look at the events of the game objectively, without being in the mess that is their headspace... of course they weren't going to hate him. what siffrin said to them in act 5 was awful, and they were rightfully upset with him - but upset is the key word, not hate. no matter how upset the party was, they were never going to abandon their friend who went missing or let him fight the king alone, because the only person who ever truly believed they hated siffrin was siffrin themselves.
Do you ever just think about how the quest to save Vaugarde would have been in vain if the loops didn’t happen? Do you ever think about how even if the party could find all the keys and defeat the King without the shield Siffrin would still just be fully dead? They would’ve won but it still wouldn’t feel like victory. Do you ever think about the sort of twisted imposter syndrome Siffrin must feel, and then by extension Mirabelle when she learns how royally fucked they all would’ve actually been, how they would’ve failed in several ways before even seeing the King? Should they truly be considered saviors? Or do you think that Siffrin might try (and fail miserably) to keep it a secret so she won’t feel that way and instead carry the guilt all on their own….hmmmmm…….hmmmmmm………much to think about……
i am so fucking sick of people saying that siffrin is canon sex repulsed or canon sex favourable or canon sex neutral, im so fucking sick, adrienne fucking said that it's left up to interpretation, any interpretation is correct, SO STOP SAYING THAT JUST BECAUSE THEY SAID "i dont want to do "things" with people either" MEANS HE'S AUTOMATICALLY SEX REPULSED, SOME ASEXUALS DONT WANNA HAVE SEX SOME ASEXUALS WANT TO HAVE SEX STOP RELYING ON THAT PIECE OF DIALOGUE TO SAY THAT SIFFRIN IS CANON SEX-REPULSED OR NEUTRAL OR WHATEVER SHUT THE FUCK UP OH MY GOD
(no offense to people who wants more sex repulsed or neutral representation but like stop saying it's canon block the fucking sexualized siffrin tag if that makes you uncomfortable, im not even asexual but im so sick of people saying that its canon this & canon that for the love of god i am going to crash out adrienne said its up to interpretation SO SHUT THE FUCK UP)
& I'M NOT EVEN SAYING THAT SEX-REPULSED ASEXUALS SHOULDN'T WISH FOR MORE SEX-REPULSED REPRESENTATION. I Get why okay asexual people are often sexualized in media. Sex-repulsion is often rare in media & YOU CAN PROJECT THAT ON SIFFRIN. BUT DON'T SAY IT'S CANON. I WILL START BITING PEOPLE WHO PUT THE LABEL "CANON" ON SIFFRIN'S RELATHIONSHIP WITH SEX

Can the In Stars & Time reddit actually shut the fuck up about complaining how the game is "so repetitive & boring". What are you even here for then. The repetition IS the plot. You are literally playing a time loop game.
I Hate The Isat Reddit & Their Transmisogynistic & 0 Media Literacy Ass Takes
Isafrin to me romantic or platonic it doesen't matter. It's juicy because you'll never meet more self-loathing individuals who think are the cause of eachother's suffering but at the same time think the other is wonderful
That feeling when you're reading an Ao3 ISAT post-loops fic with a sprinkle of isafrin, & it's decent but not 100% your cup of tea, & then you check the tags & see "M/M" slapped on it.
Truly died inside but also instantly felt so relieved because my anxious brain went "YIPPEE we have an objective reason to throw this entire thing in the trash & never think about it again!!" siffrin is nonbinary, seeing people try to shove them into a binary tag is an immediate eject button. Goodbye!
People should consider the idea of caedosexual Siffrin more ngl. Depending on whether you see Siffrin as sex-repulsed, sex-neutral, or sex-favorable, that label can apply either way...& to specify, they were already caedosexual before meeting the party, like even before the loops stuff.
Since caedosexuality is a spectrum of asexuality- basically asexuality but caused by trauma- this isn't me saying that his asexuality isn't valid, no eugh. I'm just saying, what if he was caedosexual
Separated from their country, a nameless kid must learn to survive in a harsh world. Between mental & physical burdens, this is the story of how they became the traveler that we seem to know.

(Quick Warning For Transmisogyny Talk Under The Read More...Yes Transmisogyny Applies to nonbinary people too they're under the trans umbrella)
We Need To Talk About How Most Of The Isat Reddit Acts Transmisogynystically Towards Siffrin (& Why It's Important)
I love the ISAT fandom for how much it usually protects Siffrin from bad takes, but we need to have a real conversation about a massive blind spot on the fandom's subreddit.
Lately, the criticism against Siffrin has crossed the line from standard media critique into something deeply ugly. People aren't just frustrated with the gameplay pacing in Acts 4 & 5- they are attacking Siffrin over their trauma responses using incredibly harmful, systemic language.
Let's be completely real: calling a non-binary character "fake" or "deceptive" is fucking transmisogynistic.
1. The "Deceptive/Fake" Playbook
A lot of threads vilify Siffrin for keeping secrets, hiding the time loops, & masking their pain, framing it as if they are "tricking" or "manipulating" the party. This pulls straight from the real-world transmisogyny playbook. In real life, trans & non-binary people are constantly scrutinized & accused of being "fake" or "deceiving" others just for trying to protect themselves & survive. Siffrin is dealing with acute psychological torture, severe localized amnesia, & explosive CPTSD. Framing a non-binary character’s desperate survival mechanisms as a malicious lie is a disgusting double standard.
While transmisogyny specifically targets trans women & transfeminine people, the exact same cultural playbook of framing non-cis people as 'deceivers' is weaponized here to vilify a non-binary character.
2. The Policing of Messy Emotions
When Siffrin finally breaks down in Act 5, the language used against them becomes incredibly vitriolic & full of visceral disgust. Cisgender male protagonists in gaming can slaughter entire worlds out of rage, & fandoms will coddle them as tragic anti-heroes. But because Siffrin is non-binary & doesn't hold that protected cis-masculine privilege, they are denied the right to be angry or messy.
They are expected to be a perfectly compliant, quiet caretaker for the characters around them, & the second they center their own agony, the sub turns on them.
3. The Distinction We Need to Make
To be clear: I am not saying every single person who finds the pacing of the late-game loops frustrating is a bigot. Pacing is a valid critique. But I am saying that the majority of the severe backlash against Siffrin relies entirely on a transmisogynistic framework & vocabulary. Non-binary people are firmly under the trans umbrella, & transmisogynistic tropes regularly target anyone who fails to conform to cis-normative expectations.
ISAT is a deeply queer game about trauma. If your "character critique" relies on calling a traumatized non-binary character "fake" for masking their pain, you need to look in the mirror & figure out why you are using the language of real-world bigotry to talk about a fictional character.
Hello In Stars & Time Fandom I Have come With A Discovery That I Cannot Keep For Myself Any Longer
Did anybody know that the notes of the game's main leitmotiv if you look at the names of the musical notes they actually spell out something :3 that fits with the game's theme :33
