I wake up in a very specific way. I'm on my side, so I prop myself up with my elbow and slide my legs up so I'm crouches at the top of my bed, then I get off. That's because my dog used to sleep near the base of my bed, and it was the best way to get up without disturbing him.

He's been dead for like 8 months and I still do this. Every morning.
