â The reason of my waking mind tells me that great evil has befallen and we stand at the end of days. But my heart says nay; and all my limbs are light, and a hope and joy are come to me that no reason can deny. Ăowyn, Ăowyn, White Lady of Rohan, in this hour I do not believe that any darkness will endure! â And he stooped and kissed her brow.Â

     His hands were shaking, but he had to gather his courage. He had to go, it was already set. Though it did not mean he did not have fear in his heart. He stroked his horseâs nose, whispering soft words of comfort. They would march off into battle together, he could not think of a better companion to . He had asked to be alone when he heard footsteps. âWhatever it is you have to say,â he said, without turning around to see who it was. âIt can wait until I return.âÂ

but also faramir is the kind of man who sees a strong woman and respects the hell out of her.Â
      âMaster Thorin.â Faramir gives a nod of his head. He had never met the dwarf, but he knew enough by word of mouth, and of course what his brother had said. âIt is an honor to finally meet you.â His words are met with a grin. âI trust the road was not too treacherous--âÂ
@lonerebor
You wish that our places had been exchanged? That I had died and Boromir had lived? Yes, I wish that.
      He knew it was suicide. Everyone did. But his father would hear none of it. And no other captain would go, no Faramir would not let anyone else go at the madness of his father. Perhaps now, he would finally earn the respect of his father he so badly wanted. The door had closed behind him, and he was quickly putting back up the wall that had cracked under his fatherâs gaze and words when his gaze caught his brotherâs form. He wasnât sure how long he had been standing there. The younger son took a breath and carried on forward. âHis mood is not the best,â he said, trying not to bring up the fact he was about to march off to his death. âI suggest you give him a moment before entering his presence.â Maybe his brother did not know yet what their father had asked, maybe he wouldnât until it was too late. Faramir knew if his brother tried to convince him not to go, it would break them both.Â
@simplywalks
     âDidnât father have strict instructions to not be up around here?â Or maybe he had just instructed Faramir. Boromir could get away with just about anything. Though so long as he was with his older brother, the punishment for Faramir was relatively mild. He was always there to get the younger out of trouble. âWhy did you drag me up here anyways?â

even tho nothing is set up on this blog, i finally have icons. so like this for a starter

      He wanted to tell her she was wrong. All his life Faramir had lived in the shadow of disappointment when it came to his father. He was not his older brother, no matter how hard he tried, Faramir would never take on the mantel his father had given Boromir. Boromir had spent his life trying to shield him from that, but Boromir was dead. Faramir knew his father now wished he had indeed let the second son ride to Rivendell.Â
      Every one always said to him that his father loved him, since he was a boy, but never had Denethor actually showed any sort of action to make those words believable. Though Faramir badly wished they were. âHopefully before it is too late, Mâlady.âÂ
                     Since you are robbed of Boromir,                      I will do what I can in his stead.                  If I should return, think better of me, father.
