i don’t have a sister but ashley williams is such a big sister character. most eldest daughters i’ve seen are exactly like her; driven, realistic, loyal, principled. and these traits, while they may be naturally hers, i believe they were strengthened by her responsibilities to help raise her younger sisters. that burden to set an example for them, be strong for them, setting aside her personal feelings. and then she becomes a marine who ends up stuck doing nothingburger jobs that improves none of her actual skills... imagine how many times she had to bite back remarks at the insults, the side looks that say ‘i know who you are’, the condescending words from her superiors and maybe even fellow marines— and not only because she’s a williams, she is also a woman (it may not have been stated canonically, but i feel it’s not crazy to think so). and she just kept holding on because all she could think of was the younger ones back home... what does it matter if she’s stuck and insulted and looked down on, if it meant her sisters didn’t go to bed hungry and stayed in school?

Team Milky Way is back again with another mod release, this time focusing on Ashley Williams. @kaidanalenkosprmanager and I have put together a massive mod full of new casual, hair, and formal outfit options for her to wear. These are all modular with the mod settings menu from the LE3 Community Patch, so you can freely pick between hair and clothing options to your heart's content!

In the fell clutch of circumstance     I have not winced nor cried aloud.

I always switch between Ash and Kaidan but my last playthrough with Kaidan lasted months, so it feels like the last time I did ME3 with Ash was a long time ago.

BUT it only gives me more Ash/Liara feelings at the beginning and that's what this post is about (and if anything between them happens with Kaidan as well, I'm in denial and that's all ◕‿◕✿)

Love the reunion where Ash says it was difficult to leave Earth and Liara replies "Ashley. I'm sorry." I especially like that she calls her Ashley immediately and that Liara was talking to Shepard initially, but it's Ash who answered.

"The lieutenant-commander has become very capable."

Always found this scene very strange regardless of who she's talking about here. But when it comes to Ash, I feel like it's more personal and less about Shepard's own feelings. Liara is noticing. Shipping goggles on? Yeah but it's okay haha

After James crashes into the Cerberus's shuttle, Liara's look is so striking as Ash is moving toward her.

And this sequence of events is interesting:

As soon as Ash hears the noise, she holds Liara by the waist even more firmly:

Truly blink and you'll miss it! But the second Ash realizes the danger, she takes her gun and pushes Liara away:

It's not a gentle push because Liara ends up far away on the ground as we can see here:

And Ash gets to face Eva Coré alone, which is the point. To protect Liara:

When Liara gets back up, it's after the fight:

Exactly what Ash wanted again!

And the fact that Ash is the one who ends up injured? Ah.

Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams of the 212nd Cadian, who served the God Emperor faithfully in the Imperial Guard. Like any loyal son and daughter of the Imperium, Williams agrees that the only correct way to greet a xenos is with her lasgun. Curiously, she's currently part of Inquisitor Shepard's warband, whose radical methods and alleged use of xenos mercenary raises many questions.
