Every week, we bring you the people risking their lives to speak out against the terrorist group. Today, meet Alya.
Just some enlightening reading
This is just 10 minutes of my yesterday
Sketchbook fun
Made a pop up bird card
it’s ink - white and black, shimmering watercolors, dip pen, glue and much love and pms-related obsessive creativity in the middle of the night
The request from my bff was a bird in mixed media. So I used this opportunity to subtly try and convince her once again to read the fucking Six of Crows - thats what’s written all over there
This one will be a gift for a kiddo who started loving space stuff, which is so down my alley that I couldn’t help myself. Hope he likes it.

BRIANA CUOCO as JENNY GREEN in DEAD BOY DETECTIVES (2024-)
She is the most tender and lovely cat in the universe. She is also a bit mischievous and fierce at times, the first to catch a spider and climb a highest shelf. She has been under some heavy anti epilepsy drugs for over four years and the mischievousness is dialed down a lot. But still. A small ball of concentrated love we picked up from the garden in the rain one lucky day.
Got myself a Japanese fountain pen and so very happy about it.
Jonathan Stroud is so magnificent at writing female characters that my jaw dropped when I looked at the book jacket.
Lucy being abrasive but also nervous when first meeting Lockwood. Holly describing Sir Rupert Gale getting too close to her and breathing down her neck. Flo being severely traumatized by ghosts, leading to her mania and homelessness.
I seriously cannot even get into how good so much of the commentary was in Lockwood and Co. Talking about CPTSD, Lockwood’s suicidal behavior, child labor, capitalizing off of tragedy, large corporations, like Stroud is that guy. But there is something so amazing about him writing such relatable and compelling female characters that makes him one of my favorite authors of all time.

"...we don't live in a big clockwork, we live in a dance club..."
This is my favorite line.
I have learned so many things from this.
