Happy Birthday, Sebastian Stan!
Gotta be honest, I cried when I had to leave for the last time. I am still crying. I don't know whether to call these tears of joy for the mountains God moved in me and many many many others at #collide or that I simply miss it all, the dance parties dedicated to Him and the great family I have from there and everything between, including the food. Maybe it's just bittersweet. Ugh, take me back and never make me leave again... #collide16 #silverlake #silverlakecamp (at Silver Lake Camp)
Earlier I done messed up on someone’s post, not realizing it was a completely different thing. But I still find what I realized very important, and I wanted to share it. I copied and pasted (with a slight edit).
So after watching Civil War for the hundredth time the scene that Tony showed Steve a quill pen set had come to mind when I read this post remembered a sceneThe First Avenge, the one about Howard searching for Steve in the ocean and the dude controlling the robotic arms that picked up the tesseract said that the energy traces end there, blah blah blah.
In a scene from Civil War, Tony complains that “Oh really? See, I didn’t know that, especially since my father said something about it a hundred times.” (or something very similar, I can’t remember atm.) Thinking back to the desparation that Howard had to find Steve, we could make some inferences as to why Howard mentioned Steve to Tony all the time.
For one thing, Steve was freaking Captain America. Who had helped Steve become this? Howard, duh. He must have been very very very proud of what Steve had become (scrawny to brawny hot damn), given that the last thing we saw that Howard had shown to public was a flying car that merely hovered for a minute and collapsed. Howard, as we know, also created a number of shields to accomodate for the little, flimsy metal one that Steve banged up on his first mission. But none of them were used (to our knowledge). What else was it that Howard created and invented that actually helped people since Steve had crashed the HYDRA plane?
In Ant-Man Howard attempted to replicate Hank Pym’s size serum, but it was a failed replica. Howard at this time was near the age of when he was killed died.
Of course, we do not know much else about what Howard could have (helped) invented/created that was even remotely similar to Captain America.
Howard must have felt so much guilt, regret, and sorrow. We don’t see Howard hanging out with anyone else, really, besides Peggy and other coworkers for business/working/projects. He did not make an appearance at the bar celebrating Steve’s accomplishment in rescuing 400 or so men from deep within HYDRA. Where do you think Tony got that? What other real friends does Howard have?
Maybe Howard didn’t talk to Tony like Steve was a legend. Maybe he didn’t put Steve on a high pedestal as an almost mythical hero who saved an entire nation, maybe even the world.
I think Howard worked too much because he wanted to create or invent or do something that could even remotely come close to helping someone become better like Steve. I think Howard talked about Steve in a way that was to relive in past memories to try to heal the part of his heart that liked Steve as a good friend and person. Dr. Erskine chose Steve specifically for his good heart as a simple human being. Who’s to say that Howard didn’t miss the good person he made so dangerous that he went out of his way to help people and died?
Howard couldn’t have praised Steve. It would not make as much sense for Tony to hate Steve because Howard talked about him as a legend.
I think Tony hated Steve because Howard made Steve a sorrowful memory, a memory that kept him away from his son in fear he would somehow cause Tony to become the same as Steve, cut out from the world and even farther from Howard’s reach.
“but sir the temperatures are dropping at an alarming rate”
“that’s right and my friend’s out in it”

A summary of every X Men movie, ever
Imagine that. In the span of three hours, ALL of this came true, even though I pay attention to zodiac stuff only to joke about it. So here I am joking about it. . Positive spark: my father will be home sooner than we expected from his trip to the east coast to fix our house that's on sale! . I had something to say, and I said it! With confidence! . The consequence? So now a planned sleepover that was this Friday is no more, due to "a tense square with hotheaded Mars!" May have accidentally "gotten in a war with words," but hey I was standing up for a friend :) . Now I have to "reconsider my strategy about dealing with this relationship moving forward." . We'll see who this old flame may be! I have my guesses though. :) . #taurus #horoscope #funnystory

A professional conversation with my cousin about Marvel and DC
Cousin: what do you think will happen if DC beats Marvel?
Me: ha, DC will never beat Marvel
Cousin: oh yeah, that's right. Because Marvel has the Hulk
Me: yeah—
Cousin: and Captain America?!
Me: *restrains from screaming* well of course
