Alright guys, I survived! About 24 hours ago I took my last sip of the lemon juice detox mixture, and I have had my first day of “regular life” again. Here is a quick recap of the last few days.
Day 8 was a Sunday - which means that I felt perfectly fine, because I didn’t miss out on anything. I went on a small (cold) trip outside and enjoyed my time inside the rest of the day. At this point I didn’t feel any hunger, and I didn’t lust for anything either. I had reached the blessed point of the detox when I was past the point of thinking about food - I simply existed. Not a meaningful existence, but not a sad one, either.
Day 9 was then obviously a Monday, which meant more work. I managed fine during class and didn’t even need a nap after work - so this was all in all a good day! Thinking about the fact that it was my penultimate day of squeezing lemons and mixing the goddamn mixture every morning made me giddy. Monday was then once again a good day, and it passed pretty much in silence. Although I do think I got some headache tendencies, but that was not terribly dramatic.
Day 10 - THE FINAL DAY!!! I started work at 10, so I had plenty of time to make the mixture and get a relaxing morning - however, I got as far as all the way out the door when I remembered that I forgot my “lunch” (the bottles of mixture) in the fridge, but I stilled caught the bus, haha. I had gotten out of the door and watched the beautiful sky and thought to myself that this was going to be a beautiful day, and then I got winded from running up the stairs!! Haha. But anyways - my classes went well and I managed fine. I felt quite exhausted at the end of the day and relaxed for the rest of it, enjoying the feeling of knowing that I would be finished the day after. I went to bed feeling fine, and that was that, I guess?
The first day after - glorious day!! I woke up and weighed myself - I had reached one of my goals, which was to reach below 70 kg, and I did!! I weighed in at 69,7 kg, so the total weight loss came it at about six kgs. Of course, the initial number was surprisingly high, and the number today is artificially low - but I want to maintain a “downwards trend”. However, I have not done this solely for the weight loss - mostly it has been amazing to feel the willpower I didn’t think I had. So I woke up, spent quite some time getting up, and then had a few glasses of orange juice (as prescribed). A bit later I started on the vegetable soup, chopping all the vegetables in good time and finally had my first bite at about 12:30. It was amazing!! However, I ate a small portion again for dinner at about 17, and I simply did not manage to eat more than a few bites - and now I feel quite unwell, actually. It feels the same way I do when I’ve eaten a lot of sugar, so I am not sure all the ingredients were good for me - but out of all the things you could eat, I should think vegetable soup would be the best?? I don’t know... I’ll see how things go in the time ahead.
So, this marks the (tentative) end of my “reg does lemon juice detox 12/21″ adventure! Will I do it again in 9 years? Will tumblr even exist in 9 years?? If so, perhaps I will update you again. <3
