torsewell implications aside, "he's my friend" is such an incredible showcase of max's character development. the maxwell of episode one would under no circumstances admit that he was trying to help someone just because they were important to him. even just a few episodes, he literally ran away from the friendship ritual with pappy in oda. and think about the whimsy! he joined in with the "gimme the haunch" chant, he went off in his wingsuit without hesitation or concern for it being ungentlemanly. he jumped headlong into the biangle and let comfrey fire a grappling hook at him and carried torse like a backpack. he's an adventurer. he's doing the damn thing.

Someone’s probably done this before, but First Contact! AU where Jim is an astronaut who got stranded and Spock is the vulcan scientist who saved him.

I was thinking something like The Martian where he got stranded on a planet during a mission, lost contact with the rest of his team and presumed dead, Spock is a vulcan scientist who was there on a research trip when he found jim's injured body and brought jim back to his ship despite vulcan's strict non-interference policy. Can be Mespirk too with bones being jim's friend and a NASA scientist who refuses to believe jim is dead and tries to get a rescue mission to search for Jim despite everyone else thinking he's just griefing/in denial.

I've been turning this thing in my head for a few weeks like a microwave, but i'm not a good writer lol, so if anyone wants to make something of it feel free, please tag me so i can see it.

Listening to Superhuman Public Radio (a podcast for if there was NPR in a comic book universe) and the episode "The Question" is a human interest piece with a guy who did legal but unethical work for a megacorp before he began to wonder if he was technically a villain's henchman and started reaching out to other people wondering the same thing, and holy shit...For a comedy show, this was so harrowing I'm still reeling. ("If we were the bad guys, I thought, surely the heroes would stop us- but did that mean we just hadn't been caught?")

I’m being so genuine when I say this game changer is so important to me. Not only is it one of the funniest game changer episodes I’ve ever watched, but it fundamentally impacted countless people’s lives. That sounds a little dramatic, but I’m being genuine.

In the past year, Jacob, Vic, and Lou went out into the world and made real change to everyday people’s lives. The musical, the high school marching band, the painting that was commissioned, the fucking $2,900 dollars that was donated to charity?!?!

All of those examples were real tangible things, that were yes, done in commitment to the bit, but they happened all the same. They paid support to the arts, to creativity, to kindness.

Last season we saw the environment of game changer be extended to the entirety of the dropout studio: with Bingo, Beat that Buzzer, and Deja Vu. Now this newest episode bursts the game out into the wide world, and I’m so excited to see what Sam has in store for us.

A Starstruck Odyssey truly is the campaign of all time. First intrepid heroes in-studio campaign since the COVID pandemic. Ally finally managing to play a type A character. Murph with the long hair. Riva being the third non-binary PC in D20 history. 'I've got my proldier's license right here.' Lou with the pitched voice (Gunnie walked so that Pinocchio could run). Smash n'Grab. 'The only thing that could take us out was a trip to the zoo.' Siobhan with the brown hair. Plug's Butt-Ugly Stuff Hut. Zac playing a smart character for the first time since Lapin- oh wait no he just got slugged. Emily with the southern accent. 'Take care of my leeeeegs!' Brennan basically playing with the toys his mom made for him. The way the colors in the background compliment Ally's eyes. 'Third! Nat! One!' Loose Duke. I could go on and on forever
