âOh yeah! I got it, Shanks butââ She didnât want weird looks so she refrained from saying anything about his gender. Sheâd met enough people of the wrong genders by now. âThank you for that, Shanks!â
"Heh, no problem." he was sure he hadn't run into Luffy's big sis before, but it was always fun meeting someone new, especially when they were connected to that particular Supernova captain. "How've things been on your side? How's ol' Newgate doing?"

Hang Me Up to Dry
Hands balled into fists, the boy just sat there quietly. No, it wasnât like that⊠Shanks couldnât think of any other males that he had ever been attracted to. He was normal, completely fine⊠until it came to that blue-haired clown. The boy didnât want to be different, he didnât want to be the weird fucked up kid for how he felt. He was so utterly terrified of his feelings for the very person that was holding him now, Shanks almost wishing that he could have never felt the way he did just to spare him this shame and embarrassment. He didnât even want to think of what Roger would say if he found outâŠ
ââŠjust⊠forget I said anything.â he muttered quietly, pulling away from the clown. âForget this even happened.â Shanks didnât look at Buggy at all, just moving past him to head to the room. Maybe if he pretended it wasnât there, these feelings would go away⊠then he would be normal again, right?Â
What the hell was going on? First Shanks confesses that he loves him, now heâs telling the clown to forget anything happened? How was he supposed to just forget that something like this happened? Frowning, Buggy tried to grab for him again before he walked away, grasping the otherâs arm.
âI donât know how you expect me to forget this, Shanks!â he said sternly, looking his fellow cabin boy in the eyes. âIf you⊠If you have feelings for me, thereâs no harm inâŠâ
He trailed off. What was he saying? Did he⊠return the other boyâs feelings? No, no. That couldnât be right. He hated Shanks - didnât he? Shanks had ruined his plans for that devil fruit, ruined his dream of finding that treasure at the bottom of the sea. Was it possible that Shanks was saying these things as some sort of⊠joke?
ââŠNevermind,â he snapped suddenly, letting go of Shanksâ arm and glaring at him. âFuck you, Shanks. Just⊠fuck you.â
As much as it hurt to admit, Shanks was glad when he just finally let go of his arm, those stinging words giving him some relief. They would just go off from here and forget any of this happened.Â
Shanks said nothing more, silently heading back to their tiny room and crawling into his bunk. He did not sleep at all the rest of the night, just laying there and clutching his pillow as he tried to fight back the tears.
