i feel like breaking dawn wouldve been sooo much more interesting if the conflict was more internalized like it was centered around bella having to leave all of her family and friends behind and how it might negatively impact her emotionally while also having to simultaneously deal with the harsh reality of being a vampire and living forever

like she suddenly becomes unsure of her decision after getting the thing that she was willing to die for before especially after watching charlie mourn over her ‘death’ and he eventually dies and she’s unable to say goodbye. she watches herself remain unchanging as the world falls apart around her and she realizes that maybe rosalie was right, that growing old was a gift and she threw it away for love as a teenager and now has to live with it for eternity.
