Aro is the only character worth stanning in the whole dang franchise. The story is written from the perspective of a 17yr old who thinks she's "going on 35" bc her mother told her so and seems a bit parentified, though she could have gone to live with her father at any time. Only, gasp! He lives in a small town where it RAINS 😱 So nope, she'll stay parentified, thanks, until Mommy gets a new minder. Then she'll move in with Dad, sniff out the existence a secret that's none of her business, feel entitled to know more solely bc she stumbled upon its existence, and then act like a dog with a Stupid Bone until she figures it out bc, entitlement. (Cue ensuing melodramatic wrist to brow, "I am a MONSTER!" montages, complete with fainting couches, from six Cullens and a wolf.) So yeah, the Volturi are the only vampires worth reading about or watching in the whole dang series 🤤
